What else do you do?

Work-related - I work for an undiscolosed company that causes me to travel regionally every week, nearly always driving. And I can't take my guns. My primary other hobby is bicycling (including recumbents). I also enjoy a bit of archery, but haven't pursued it lately due to time restrictions. I shoot with training wheels. And my wife and I are active in our local church. In reality I'm not a very good hunter, but I learned to love squirrel hunting from my dad (who was a most excellent hunter), and I thoroughly enjoy getting out once in a while to stalk the little tree dwellers. And I like electronical things.

Welder/fabricator and cnc operator for one of the world's largest military defense contractors. We build the legendary M1 Abrams tank and other vehicles.
Used to race go karts then on to sprint cars until my oldest was born. My dad still owns a successful sprint car team and every now and then I tig weld broken race car parts back together. I do alot of hunting and fishing as well as a semi pro beer drinker.

Spent my 20s in the Marine Corps as an Avionics Technician working on several different aircraft and systems. These days my time is taken by my job in the Oilfield, doing my part to fuel the nation. When not working I'm with the family, shooting (air, powder and bow), wood working, hunting, fishing, backyard mechanic, assembling computers and some computer gaming.

Legit, we've got a bunch of studs on board here! Freaking insane! Good thread. The responses are far cooler than I thought they would be.

Jfrazier: so bossy on that first shot. I used to run with a crew RashedUpInc and we had some pretty glorious track days back in the day. Broke my back, tore my Achilles, tore my bicep and tricep on my right arm broke the majority of my ribs on my left side put a hole through my foot and needed SEVERAL stitches as close to the boys as you'd ever want anything other than a girl to get after a ridiculous high side that was completely my fault after a ROOKIE mistake (lost traction in a dig and chopped the throttle for whatever reason). I haven't ridden since as it shook my wife up pretty good (and me I suppose). That was 10 years ago and I'm 80% the majority of the time now, so I got super lucky obviously. I plan on buying another bike this winter in anticipation for the summer next year. Keep the rubber side down team!

I refuel nuclear reactors for a living. It's been a busy year. My passion that I haven't been able to enjoy for a few years is drag racing. Between work, family(wife & son), I just don't have a lot of free time anymore. Plus money isn't stretching as far as it use to. That's how I got back into my first love, shooting. Then Sandy Hook happens & everything goes crazy & that is what led me to air rifles. Air rifles give me something to tinker with. I do miss drag racing terribly. Maybe I will get back to the track one day. Here is a picture of my car. It is a Vanishing Point Race Cars built 1998 Ford Mustang.

Here is the engine. It is a 557 ci Big Block Ford. Fuel injected on alcohol. All motor, no power adders.

"NCairgunner"I do miss drag racing terribly. Maybe I will get back to the track one day. Here is a picture of my car. It is a Vanishing Point Race Cars built 1998 Ford Mustang.

Running a car like that you may have run across my uncle. He used to be a Pro Stock driver, then a timing tech and track manager. He's been working tracks all over the world, even helped get the ADRL started in Qatar.

I spent 23 years in the Army, and I now work for a division of the USDOJ as a Criminal Investigator. Spend lots of my time supporting my wife's business in renewable energy systems. I am a volunteer advanced EMT on our local EMS system. Love to shoot, farm, design & build stuff, and play with explosives. Trying to learn G code and CNC machining. I see airguns as a smart way to expand shooting in the crazy world we now live in. Love to see my kids shooting without hearing protection on!!

I'm a retired Air Force officer -- spent my entire military career in space operations, including Space Shuttle, Titan, Atlas, Delta launch operations, and some spook satellite stuff. Finished my last tour in 2001 at Air Force Space Command Headquarters in my hometown of Colorado Springs, CO. I'm now a program manager in the civilian aerospace world, having worked on multiple NASA spacecraft programs, high altitude UAVs for DoD, and ballistic missile defense programs.

I have a daughter in college and a wife who is a professor at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey.

When I'm not busting my arse in the office, I unwind with a plethora of hobbies: backpacking in the Sierras, 4-wheeling, flying drones and r/c airplanes, woodworking, scuba diving, road cycling, mountain biking, watching horror movies, and of course airgunning!
