What do you use to carry and protect your SCBA or air tank?

I saw on a website a guy used a Home Depot bucket with a circular cut out in the cover to carry his tank around - under 5 bucks. Another way is the nylon strap for scuba that could be cinched up for my scba tank on Amazon for 15.00 bucks. If I could find a slim duffel bag and put some sort of insulation around tank and valve that may work too.

Mostly I want to protect my new Joe B valve system.

Any suggestions with links or pictures?

Ive used one of these for a couple years now, has a nice handle for carrying and protects the tank by sitting on the foam rolls. Very durable.

I have the very same kit for my 12L bottle

Very sturdy and keeps it from rolling around

I bought some padded head liner from Jo Anns frabric shop & sewed it up plus added some felcro also to protect the outside of the tank

then it goes inside of the 8" pvc pipe. I still need to find a threaded cap & end piece to get rid of the pipe plug Bottom of the pvc pipe I added 2"memory foam & too the top of the valve also

I made this for one of my tanks. It has 1/2 closed cell foam around the tank and 1" on the end opposite the valve.

I went to a firefighters supply company on the web and found a nice padded bag that was designed for scba tanks. It’s been working well for many years. Keeps the dust off when not in use and keeps the tank from getting scratched.

I really enjoy these posts, such great ideas, some simple, some more extravagant. My set up is a cheap small duffel bag from the local surplus store and then I wrap it in thick bubble wrap.
