What did you shoot today?

Just started the jorney with my new hatsan 95 .22, brought a bunch of pellets to try out and started with jsb 15.89gr, set up a target at 15y and first shot was right besides the bullseye! Someone must have had fun at the factory or just being good at their job, next shots wandered a bit up and down but well within an inch, a lot of smoke when the oil was burned of, after about 25 shots there was no smoke so i shot some chrony numbers, then changed pellets to the h/n FTT 14,66gr in 5,53 size and they produced higher speed and more energy, and was shooting as great as the jsb did so i will continue to use them, numbers where around 712 fps and 18 ft/lbs with jsb and 777 fps and 20 ft/lbs with h/n, have not decide if im going to mount a scope or a reddot or keep it open sighted, need to find out what will suit my shooting

Scoped my hatsan 95 .22 with a Optima 3-9x32 and zeroed it at 25m, pretty ok scope but no mildots, but it works for my purpose and range im shooting within, first target is 3 shots at 25m,could have done 2 more but didn't want to destroy such a tight group hehe, then set up a target at 35m,and shot 4 within the black and the next went south... Wind picked up and the next 2 went east... But i am pleased with the accurasy of this gun and think i gonna keep the scope on her

Today's choices were the Hatsan Carnivore .30 with SeeAll Mk1 and the XS-25 .22 with red dot

How do you like the .30? I can’t convince myself to buy it, though I really want to, because their safety is that PSA plastic

I really like my 135 Carnivore. I also own the 130QE .30 they are both outstanding break barrel rifles. Very accurate at 50 yards. Lots of power and quieter than you would expect. I own other rifles that actually have more recoil. Its probably because the .30's are heavy 10+ pounds. Haven't had any problems with the safety and have shot both 1000's of times.

They are so much fun to hunt with but do to the 50 lbs cocking effort I'm done after 30 or so shots plinking with them. If you like Springer's everyone should have at least one of these beasts.

I will never go to the darkside. I would probably only have a couple rifles and the equipment you need to use them for the price of my entire collection of Springer's. And from the stuff I read here your always having to mess with PCP. A Springer you shoot make sure everything is tight a few drops of chamber oil every 1000 or so shots. And tune them every once in awhile. They are very simple and basic to work on and fully capable of your target and hunting needs.
