What Bipod and what camara gear should i use on my Bobcat Mk 2

hey All.

First I popped a question for Ted in a private message as I am 1 month old in PCP (got my self a FX Bobcat Mrk II) and did not want to look like a newbie)

But then I thought:"This might even benefit others" so - Here it is - My question(s) that is:

- What bipod system should I use for a Bobcat Mrk 2 and what should I be aware of when mounting it? I have heard about Harris Bipods but i would like to know what Ted was using as I am sure Harris most likely make more than 1 bipod-model.

- When watching some of Ted's youtube stuff. I noticed, he was using a camara with a recording device - Now ...the whole setup ...I WANT!!!!! - So what to buy how to fix and how to mount ...Would be awesome if some people showed a dummie like me what where how when why...as in specs and things you need to get besides..and not just the "here is a camara ...nifty trick " and moves on.

So if this dont already is posted out there a "walk-through" in mounting bipods and camara devices ...particular for a FX Bobcat mark 2 with specs on what to use ...i would sue hope someone would.

- I've seen just about all Ted's youtube vids - Awesome stuff and he is if not atleast a demi-God in this atleast the closest i come to an oracle (pretty sure there are plenty more than Ted, dont kill me, but i am new to this sport)

I can't help with the camera, but I have a first generation .22 Bobcat and I installed a Picatinny rail adapter for an Atlas bipod. The part number for the rail is BT15. There are two ways to secure it. One is to drill the holes in the stock and put the screws directly into the stock using adhesive on the threads. The other is to use part number BT1517. However, the screws that came with BT1517 were too short on mine and I went to a hardware store and bought some that were just a bit longer. Be careful that the screws are not too long or they will make contact with the air reservoir. There are a couple of videos on Youtube that show how to install the adapter. The Atlas BT-10-LW17 is rock solid and is readily available for between about $270 - $300 online. I believe the Harris has to have a sling stud in order to mount it. Since the Atlas mounts directly to the rail, it allows you to add a sling stud for use with a sling. Both are good bipods and should serve you well.

hey AZSteve

Thank you a ton for the information and I got a little follow-up on your information(s):

I am kinda interrested in the Atlas (which i noticed Ted was using after i finally found the dang vid)

What particular type of Atlas is he using on his Bobcat - Including which rail mounting?

NB: After seeing the Atlas specs vs Harris there is no doubt in my mind Atlas is what i will go with.

Question for Ted: In one of your videos i see you using a transport bag for the bobcat - Now I have been looking around like insanely (or close to) to find a fitting transport bag / case for my new best friend - However due to the high mounting of the FX scope i use - There doesnt seem to be much around i can put my dearest little toy in - Any hints or suggestions?

As I am using the original FX scope - Which camara and railmounting should i use for this?
