What ballistic calculator software/app do you use?

Previously I used Chairgun to calculate the ballistic coefficient using near & far distances. I just upgraded my Macbook from OSX to OSHS & Chairgun won't open. A pop-up window appears telling me I need to get Legacy Java 6. I proceeded to download the newest version of Chairgun from Hawkes website. Tried to install it & got the same response.

You guys got a work around or do you use a different calculator? Can I do it in Strelok Pro?

Hi Michael I use Strelok Pro and find it works very well can do everything on the iPhone. Yes you can true your fps or your bc.

I update weather conditions at the press of a button and take it into the field. I have used ChairGun but honestly won’t go back.

Michael

Can u describe or take a snapshot of where to enter multiple velocities to determine BC?

+++AirSupply....Strelock Pro is the way.

I use Strelok Pro, but can u describe or take a snapshot of where to enter multiple velocities to determine BC?

Start be pressing bottom right icon. You then get this page.

If you press bc at the top and adjust the elevation valve to what you are seeing on your target (poi)

The app will calculate your new bc and ask if you would like to use this new bc.

You can go through the same procedure if you have adjusted your speed but know your bc by pressing speed first at the top.

The near distance is your zero distance.

I believe you can install the legacy version of Java or, configure the current version to support previous versions.

LabRadar is on my Christmas list. I think you could calculate different BCs for various speeds at separate distances. Say, 25, 50, 75, and 100. Then input those four speeds and BCs into the multi BC section of Strelok. I did a few with my regular chrony and use the multi for my 18.1 JSB in .22 cal with Cricket mini Carbine - see above. Gives very accurate holdover. Yesterday I took a shot at a ground squirrel, laser range at 99 yards. Scope zero at 42 yards. Strelok said 14.5 MOA holdover. Pellet hit exactly where I was aiming, right behind the shoulder, perfect heart/lung shot. DOA.
