What Are These Water Separator Fittings?

What type and size of threaded fittings are these? It’s the Tuxking separator. They are parallel threads with a washer seal in the female side. Both ends have the same size, but different thread pitches.

There are two different [and most common] thread types:

BSPP - Which most of the world uses
And..
NPT - Which the USofA uses

BSPP is going to have the flatter [less angled] pitch to the threads: 55 degrees
NPT is going to have the more tilted [more angled] pitch to the threads: 60 degrees

*Most of the fitting we use for components in this hobby utilize BSPP threads,
but every now and then companies throw confusion into the mix and use NPT..

🙂👍

skeptic is correct. Nearly all the chinese made stuff is metric. The outlet on your compressor is the same M10x1 as the caps on the Tuxing filter. If you are looking for fittings with or without check valves, stainless steal, rated for high pressure, well made and cheap, have a look at these. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/344716?spm=a2g0s.9042647.0.0.24ca4c4d9razYd there are plenty of others on eBay and AliExpress but this in my experience this site offers the best value and service.

From looking at the hoses and fittings I have, I'm certain that the Tuxking filter, on the one end with the hose is 1/8 BSPP and my guess is that the other end with the 8mm quick connect is M10x1. Also the Yong Heng compressor and hose fittings are 1/8 BSPP as well. So that's good that all but one are the same fitting and I much prefer the parallel thread fittings over NPT. Now I need to find 2 5000 PSI adapters for 1/8 NPT to 1/8 BSPP; in F to M and M to F for a check valve I have.

I dont have the Tuxking filter but I have the big gold filter and also the Yong Heng ( genuine ) compressor. ALL hose fittings and quick connectors on them have M10x1 threads. 1/8 BSPP and M10x1 male thread have outer diameters very close to each other but the thread pitch of 1/8 BSPP is smaller ( about 0.9 mm compared with 1mm for M10x1 )

What check valve are you looking at running? When I added a check valve to my setup last year, the only check valves I could find that were suitable for high pressure use were 1/4 NPT. If there's new stuff out that's 1/8 NPT, I'm curious to learn more about it!

The Tuxing I have has M10 on one end and BSPP on the other. I’ll check out Titan. I find so many unrated parts. I prefer meshing brass fittings with softer metal, but SS with brass or steel is okay. The check valve is 5000 psi rated, but until I test it I’m unsure about the flow rate. 1/8" Npt Brass Check Valve w/Particulate Filter (5000 Psi / 3 Psi Crack) Circle Seal Controls CV23-64 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MSD2VMD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BfJKCbE1SHWJ8

Both ends of all brands of gold filte end caps are M10x1 metric female threaded. I am as cautious as anyone else about mixing thread types, Centercut and I have had no issues whatsoever using male 1/8NPT male fittings to connect to the gold filter M10x1 female endcaps using teflon tape and threading them on tight. I use a gold filter standing upright on a Daystate LC-110 compressor. I use 1/8NPT male right angle fittings connecting to the top and bottom female M10x1 end cap threads.

If you are not comfortable with a 1/8NPT male to the M10x1 female end caps you can buy an adapter from this supplier and then connect to a 1/8NPT male connector. Here is the link: https://www.threadtoolsupply.com/m10x10-18-npt-steel-thread-adapter.html

I never said nor am I foolish enough to thread different fittings together. An NPT tapered thread and M10 parallel thread would be stupid to thread together. The pitch and thread cut angle are not the same and it wouldn’t seal. This is why it’s taken me a long time searching fittings to get the proper matching adapters. When you’re dealing with 4500 PSI, you either fit everything together perfectly or don’t do it at all!

Concur with @humdinger - I've been operating just as he describes above for well over a year and a half, and many hours (15 hours) run time on my "gold" filter. On the Tuxing and the other brand, they have the M10*1 threads. Say what you will, but its been proven out my both @humdinger and myself.
