EVOL has landed!!!!

Thanks Adam!! I really like the Luth AR stock. I had the MBA-3 on my WARP before and really liked it but once set never moved it so wanted the fixed version for the EVOL. While the PRS stock seem to be awesome and everyone loves them, I didn't want the added weight and cost for this gun. Perfect for airgun use.

Bamabang it's hard to go wrong with a RAW. Great guns if you don't mind a long and heavy gun! Amazing off the bench.

I finally had time today to shoot and weather today wasn't horrible. About 28* and a high fog instead of low. I could finally see farther than about 30yds clearly after 3 days of THICK fog.

Anyways Tom let me know it was tuned for the 25.39 RD Monsters. Over the chrony it was shooting then at 880fps with a 1900psi reg pressure. With only a 15" barrel pushing 44fpe is outstanding! And my goodness does it shoot them fantastic! Tried NSA 20.2gr which were going at 930fps and they did pretty well also.

Now I bought the gun for around 30fpe pellet shooting so I retuned it for 870fps with JSB 18gr. Shoots extremely well at this setting being very docile to shoot and definitely backyard friendly with the new STO insert. With this tune both the JSB 18gr and Hades shoot exactly the same POI at 50yd zero.

Some thoughts:

-Gun is very sturdy and well built. Barrel is crazy stiff and no POI shifts nor harmonic issues with how it is. Also can be removed easily to clean with no orings in the way.

-sidelever was stiff on the higher power tune but now is much nicer once detuned. Super smooth regardless

-mags are incredible. They are all metal and work very simply. Wind it and no need to hold the front plate as it's held in place even under tension. First pellet goes in backwards then the rest forwards. Can be loaded from either side which is really nice.

-was kinda loud at 44fpe but with a 15" barrel what do you expect. Tuned to 30fpe I can say it's definitely backyard friendly now which seems to be an improvement from what others have said previously.

-trigger is phenomenal love the feel. Haven't adjusted it at all perfect for my needs as is likely in the 1-1.5lb range. 2 stage

-balances very well. Can tell it was designed as a field gun

-the bipod rail is excellent. Very stiff as I believe he strengthened them after having some complaints about them having flex previously. Can have my bipod, a Magpul AFG2 and a light mounted at the front all on the same rail with plenty of room.

-build quality is top knotch best I've seen in the airgun world

-wish the top rail was longer as it's quite short. Almost need a offset mount on the front to get it mounted where I like it.

-love the 50moa rail as I have a ton of adjustment around 27upwards in elevation and still 7 lower. But if your scope doesn't have a lot of elevation travel you'll likely need adjustable rings

Congratulations on finally having it show up, Dillon.

I pretty much feel the same on every point you made. Mine took 1.25 turns to get down to 900 w 18.1s but I cranked it back up after a while and mainly shoot the 25.4s at 900. I have my trigger at 4 oz and it's been perfect .

I REALLY want to pick up a LuthAR buttstock like yours.... just haven't sat down and done it. Contemplating a lighter scope, as well.

Absolutely GREAT rifles.

Joe, I think it was around 1.5 turns CCW?? I can't remember exactly. And I agree the darn thing just shoots so well with the 25.39 RDs but just don't need that power most the time. Knowing how easy it is to tune up though I will use that power in the spring.

Thanks Bob! Yeah I know I will shoot it in the spring with the RDs or NSAs as we usually have lots of wind then. Very accurate gun. The Luth-AR stock is very nice for the gun! Very rigid but lightweight. Im a fan of it. The LOP could be alittle longer but it works. The carbine version can go longer but I wanted the rigidity of the rifle version.

Looks Fantastic Dillon! I've been torn between the stock you show and the Gen III myself. I did install a zero angle Ergo on it. And a nice Accu-Tac G2. Sue makes a difference!!!

These are on my Raptor Custom. Seems I waited darned near as long as you did for your new toy. LOL

I did install a cf wrapped fx heavy superior heavy liner and removed the choke. Very accurate! What so do ya think? Target at 80 yards, 1 to settle the reg, then 10 on target.

Hand cast hp from my self modded mold. I would love to put a few down range with your new baby!!! :<) Was using the Brownells 1-20 twist here however the fx is even more accurate.
