Greetings ladies and gentlemen, it is an honor and a pleasure to be part of this forum. There is so much information, so well organized and managed, thank you Mike, Ted and all the other supporters/contributors I know not of, yet.

​I am a professional falconer and air guns have been a huge part of my profession and passion for more than 40 years. Back in the day I depended on my springer to get food to feed my hawks, falcons and owls through their molt. Now a days, we occasionally use air guns (with Federal Depredation Permit in hand) to abate birds with extreme prejudice.

My back round is mechanical engineering, our company is a 3 generation professional falconry business, and we all work for my wife, she manages the money. We have 6 kids and 7 2/3 grandkids, our youngest is in her second trimester. I have recently gone to the dark side; 6 months ago I bought a Brocock Contour XL S6 in .22 and after a bit of tinkering it is an absolute joy. 2 days ago I got my FX Wildcat in .25 and OMG a new frontier is opening before my eyes with this one!

Having family, falconry, and air guns being a part of my life and profession is a blessing.

​And Ted, I forgive for not being a Green Bay Packers fan.

​Mike, I do know what a challenge internet personalities can be and taking that on is no small task, thank you for dealing with us.

Howdy folks my name is Matt, I'm a small business owner in San Angelo Texas. Or at least that's who I act like I am on TV.
I'm a former Marine, lucky husband, proud father of 5 and avid shooter.
I've been shooting for about 39 years, but only into high power air rifles for about 4 months now. My first purchase was a Benjamin Bulldog .357 (if you don't count my Ruger break barrel I've had for years).
I had so much fun with that, I had to get one I could shoot in the back yard. So now I have a Hatsan Gladius .22 too.
I like to do my own gunsmithing, as most of Marine shootist brothers do. So if you will see ask unorthodox questions from time to time it's because I like to push the limits.

PLEASE!!! tell me of I'm doing something stupid! I might not listen to you, but it's worth a try.

Hi, my name is Jack Mercer. I joined the Quail Creek Airgun Club, a little over a year ago. I attended one of their Saturday shoots, where they invite residents of Quail Creek, in Green Valley, AZ, to come out to the range, try out guns and hopefully, join the club. I shot several guns and was totally amazed at the accuracy of the PCP airguns, many were shooting. Having been a shooter since I was a small child, on a Corps rifle team in the Army, and a hunter most of my life, I jumped into Airgun shooting feet first. I have already sold my first airgun, that unfortunately was unregulated and didn't have enough precise shots to shoot 25 yd bench rest targets. I have ordered a RAW 1000X with the new LRT stock. I shoot at least 4 times a week. Hot, cold, windy or less windy! My best 25 yd score is 248 and best 3 target score is 741, all with a borrowed RAW 1000X. I will be 79 tomorrow, and hope that I can shoot the magical 250, before I get too shaky to shoot accurately any more.

Bull, I think you'll like it here, everyone seems nice and helpful. I'm not a target shooter, but i too was surprised at the accuracy of the new PCP's.

"Greezycreek"Hello moderators, my gal is getting me an air rifle for Father's Day, gonna try to stay in the 500 to 600$$ range . I'd like to have a bolt action with 8 to 10 shots or better. Could someone please give me advice on what model /s meet these specs and guide me into the best selection.

You're going to need a pump. That's another $250 or so. Get a good one. Hill or FX. The Hatsan Gladius looks like a pretty good deal or their new cheaper one coming out. See Pyramid Air.

Hey guys, new to airguns and have the bug bad. I have been shooting since I was old enough to hold a .22lr. Took my first squirrel at 8yo and first deer at 9yo. Alot of hobbies have come and gone in my 36 years......but shooting has remained the only constant. I shoot archery, sporting clays, long distance rifle, even blackpowder muzzleloaders. I had no clue airguns were so advanced now. They have been right up my alley without me even knowing it. What started out as a google search to eliminate squirrels has turned into a new hobby. Damn house almost burned down 5 months ago because squirrrels had chewed through the magnesium clamp holding the ground to my house. Lights had been flickering for 2 days then my damn entertainment center caught on fire!!! Bought a tx200mk3 and the rest is history. I live in the country out of city limits in Louisiana.....but do have neighbors. Being able to shoot off my back porch quietly is awesome. Would really like to hook up with more fellow airgunners in neighboring areas.

My name is Vu, a Vietnamese but live in Chesterfield, Virginia. It is always nice to have a shooting buddy live close by. In Vietnam, any kinds of gun is illegal. So, I didn't have a much fun with gun until now. I don't know much about Airgun, but I'm willing to learn more.

Thanks for the reply nueces and MEC17670....and thanks for bringing up the pump. I have a cousin who works for the fire dept. they upgrade their tanks they wear for fresh air during fires etc. Can it be used ? Also what is the name of the equipment used to adapt to the tanks top that then connects to the air tank on the gun. I got a whole lot to learn, I know and that's why I'm here trying to,pick it all up from the folks who have been doing this a while. 

As far as the reason for getting one it's everything from coyotes to light hunting squirrels,rabbit etc.I've been watching YouTube vids on the Benjiman Marauder and thinking about the synthetic stock. How hard is it to find a good scope(I mean how much) and mount it. Do most good scopes fit a model like the Marauder or will there be problems with higher end scopes with the mounting process.

Thanks for any help y'all can shoot my way....I've been wondering about that fire dept tank for quite a while.

Hi my name is Mark and I live in the suburbs of Philly, I recently dug my old Beeman R-10 Deluxe out of the closet and started shooting targets with it again, I used to shoot targets and Skeet when I was younger but family responsibilities left me with no time to go shooting so I sold my shotguns and the R-10 was stashed in the closit and unfortunately had been sitting unused for almost 20 years. I am not sure if the seals dried out or the spring somehow lost some tension but this does not feel like the same gun I put away for some reason. Is there anyone really good at repairing and possibly Modifying this gun to give it a little more power.

Hi I'm Ray from Illinois. Disabled 62 year old chemical lab tec..On most forums known as cosmic !! Started a few years ago because of raider's of my garden!! After a break barrel I moved to PCP's and have gone through a few of them.. Sam Yang, FX, Air Force, Evanix and more.. Now I' m down to 2 a Hatsan BT65 in .177 incredibly accurate 10 in a half inch at 35 yards and a custom based on a QB 78 in 7mm still in testing!! Can' wait to play!!!

Hello all, I'm Danny Alexander from the "Memphis area" north of there is where I live, a small town called Munford. I work in Memphis though, so much it seems like I live there!

​I'm new to the forums but not shooting. Recently got into air guns again because of my kids.

​Mostly I came here to try to learn a thing or two, I have been shooting air guns since 1984, on again off again. Firearms get most of my shooting time....until lately. It's been awhile and a lot has changed with this sport it seems. I Got some catching up to do! For the next few weeks I'll probably be "the guy asking all the dumb questions" haha.....
