Hello everyone, my name is Mike. I am a long time shooter that started out shooting a Crossman 760. I moved on to powder burners but always had air guns for in the yard plinking. One day while in a local sporting goods store I came across a RWS 34 in .177 that I purchased. A few years later I was in the market for a new gun, my brother borrowed the RWS and is still borrowing it today... Anyway I purchased another RWS and a Gamo Whisper Fusion. When I was conducting a search for the new guns I came across a You Tube video about PCP airguns and had to give them a try. So here I am. Happy shooting to you all.

I am Charlotte. I've been a competitive smallbore shooter but got addicted to airguns about 7 or 8 years ago when after losing my job to the bad economy I realized that I could do a lot of shooting at home with airguns. I have a small collection that includes a FWB300s, HW95, BAM B26, BAM B40, BSA GRT Supersport SE, Avanti 753 and 853, Gamo Shadow 1000, Benjamin Discovery and Daisy 880. Can you believe that the Daisy 880 is getting more of my time than anything else? I've been a member here for a few weeks but never stopped in here to introduce myself.
I'd like to mention that I came totally smitten with Ted's youtube channel and can't wait for him to start making videos again. I also totally enjoy the british Airgun Gear Show. The guys accent and persona make his videos a treat to watch. Sorry, I just saw the woodchucks eating the bait in my front yard. I'm breaking out the 880. L8tr!

Happy New Year my fellow airgunners. My name is Mel. I'm from Roslyn, New York. I joined 3 weeks ago and I'm back in air gunning. First started shooting July 1977 in the Philippines. Tried to get back to it slowly by buying a break barrel rifle and some CO2 pistols about 7-8 years. It was fun for a while. Then started looking at the most powerful air rifles on YouTube two months ago and that's where it started. Looked at more videos, dealers and classifieds then went to my daughter's graduation from Arizona State 3 weeks ago. Then went to Airguns of Arizona. Well I guess you guys have seen a kid going to Toys R Us for the first time. Bought a used Brocock Grand Prix Elite S6 and bought my first real air rifle (FX REVOLUTION) on Airgun Nation from a fellow member. Haven't fired her yet, got tank but no adapter. Looking forward to it and this community. Thanks AN.

Hey everyone new to the scene I haven't messed with air rifles for a good 7 or 8 years and had not idea the advancements that have been made lol. Just recently got to shoot and Airforce I don't know which model it was just that it could shoot either .22 or .25 pellets and he said it was in the $700 price range. One thing I bring to the table is I work for a machine shop and as such I like to mess around making things and scraps are easy to come by lol. Anyway I look forward to lurking some and jumping in to the conversations to get some knowledge on what is new in the world of airguns!

Just Joined! My name is Dave and I am an older guy who is getting back into air guns. Right now, I bought a few of the common ones (1377, 760, 880, 2100) just for fun. When I was a kid, all my friends had cool BB and airguns. I could never get one. So now that I am grown and done raising a family, I can buy some! I will probably spend a lot of time browsing around and learning. My shooting is usually just aluminum cans.

Hi Dave, like you I am an older guy 55, time flies! I recently got back into air gunning and I just can't believe the advancements since I last used one, which was 41 years ago. I bought a Crosman .177 cal. but if I knew about this website before I made the purchase, I would have definitely purchased something way different. By the way the best pellets I have found for my rifle are made by Air Arms.

People here are really helpful and you will get lots of info if you ask, when you get set up and start shooting again, it's like reliving your childhood hehe. Best of luck with your new rifle.

i love all forms of shooting, , airguns the most, i own both springers & PCp,s
shotguns, rimfires,, my other loves are Motorcycles, classic aircraft,,
i am also into Night Vision as i am a partime pest controller,so shoot Rabbits,rats etc
i have been shooting airguns over 40 + years, so look foward to postingon this forum

Hi Brian. Brian here from across several ponds, [NZ.] I have just returned from out in the fields with my RAW .25, my BSA .22 and my Bruno .22 LR. Took three rabbits with the .25 on this beautiful morning walking the farms.

No doubt it's the slower shooting time of the year for you right now, although I see you have had some great weather considering it's winter.

Hi Moorair, thanks for the reply,, i have not been out hunting for nearly 3 weeks
because of heavy rain, , every where here is so sodden, lots of floods in the north of england
with houses under water,, my main prey are rabbits,, rats , grey squirrels,, wood pigeons, magpies,
i shoot foxes with a semi/auto 12g shotgun, i have x3 fac airguns these are a kalbrigun Cricket fac .22 cal@26 fpe
a daystate airranger .22 @37 fpe and for fun a Daystate Wolverine.303 @100fpe with 50.15 grain pellets
i also love NV shooting and am lucky to own several of the latest digital NV scopes .
My fav rimfires are my Anschutz 1417 .22LR , my CZ .17 HMR both great rabbit killers.

Wow, just realized I did not post on this introduction page when joined back in May of 2015! Well here it is. I am Paul and live in Southeastern North Carolina. I am a triple retired person at 63. I retired from Fed Ex and then the State of NC. Now enjoying my SS retirement.Needless to say I have a lot of shooting time on my hands. As a retirement gift to myself I bought a Daystate MK4 IS. It was my first PCP. Since then I have bought guns from around the world, Daystste, FX, Evanix, Crosman, Brocock, Styer, and still looking..... I also am a gunsmith and love powder burners until Jimmy, AKA Camp Fussell got me into the airguns dark side. I have been making metal Field Targets, some of which were used in the 2015 AAFTA Nationals. I have a blast tuning pcps for myself and friends.

Best of all I enjoy the forum and the folks here I chat with. This is my favorite forum to be on.

AHHHH Shucks Jimmy, There you go again. Making me blush...... I just try to be helpful, thats all... No ego worries here my friend.

I am Ben, live in Washington state, USA. Some friends and I have been shooting feral pigeons at a local dairy farm for several years, and as the birds got smarter (and stayed farther away from us) we have had to work to improve our technique and get better guns. Crosman Nitro Pistons were next, to get the birds out past 20 yards, then one of us went over to the dark side with a Disco. Now I own a .177 Mrod, and a .22 FX Wildcat. I have enough backyard to shoot 30 yards comfortably, and access to an indoor space with a clear 100 yard range. As an engineer, I love tinkering and experimenting (thus the Mrod) but I also appreciate precision equipment that's made to work reliably (thus the wildcat).

My name is Scott Hull. I'm a retired Mechanical Engineer and live on the California Central Coast. I have been heavy into airgunning and smallbore for the last few years. Mostly target shooting. I belong to the San Luis SmallBore Association. We hold regular airgun and smallbore matches. NRA rifle silhouette, AAFTA field target, and IHMSA pistol.

I participate on a couple other forums. As an engineer, the technical aspects of the shooting sports keep me interested. I hope to contribute and learn more on this forum.

Hi, new face and new airgunner here from Finland ! Bought my first airgun few weeks ago, it's a springer Gamo .177 caliber, 18 FPE. Little background here, I'm a hunter, gun enthusiast and former FDF sniper (still active reservist), if I'm not spending my free time hunting, I'm in 300 meter range playing with my handloads haha It has been kinda chilly here this winter, -35C pretty much every day, 4 hours daylight and little to no snow, so as you can imagine, range days are kinda pain in the a$$. 

So I went and bought the Gamo because it's the biggest brand around here and it was -25% off, aaand finally, I've started to enjoy shooting my new toy, (after some 300 pellets through it, one destroyed expensive non airgun rated scope, some more pellet testing and scaring the crap out of my neighbors with wrong supersonic lightweight pellets, finding a better scope and rings and locktiting pretty much everything lol) Have been shooting it every day indoors and at my backyard. This is so fun! It's more accurate than my .22LR when I got the hang of it! I got my first gun when I was 10 years old and it was a 30-06. Wish I had a good airgun back in the days! There's a saying that if you're a good shot with airgun, you'll do extremely well with firearms and I can say this must be true. I mean, the same basic rifle shooting fundamentals still apply but with the airgun, especially with spring gun, stance, hold, follow through, wind reading and ballistic knowledge play such a big role. Heheh, enough with the twaddle, I'll be lurking here to learn more and find some good tips to become a better airgunner, as I'm still just a novice with these things

Rob here from So California and I am glad to have found this forum.

After many years of hunting and competitive shooting as a kid with my dad, education, work and family took me away from the shooting sports for about 25 years. About 7-8 years ago, I decided it was time to get the guns out again and resume hunting/shooting with my kids. I picked up a Gamo whisper .177 so that I could practice target shooting and safe gun handling skills at a vacation property with my kids.

The Gamo never quite met my expectations for accuracy, so I did some research and ended up buying an R7 in .177. After the R7, I was hooked on the virtues of serious airguns. I am primarily a springer shooter and now own a pro sport, an R1 and two R7s, as well as two Discoveries, all in .177. My boys and I regularly hunt with the airguns and target shoot often. Fow now, springers cover my needs quite well. But at some point, I will go deeper into the world of PCPs

Welcome Rob did you add yourself to our map? I'm in Victorville area. I too started springer, but quickly crossed over to the dark side. Who knows maybe if things work out will go shooting some time, if you are in the High Desert.
