Welcome to AIRGUN NATION - please introduce yourself here!

Howdy, folks! My name is Barry and I've been shooting most of my life. I got my start when I was 8 years old and received a Daisy 880 pump air rifle for Christmas. I have no idea how many rounds went through that gun before it stopped working but if I had a penny for every shot I could probably afford a new house! I also had a Daisy 717 pistol that I loved shooting. Honestly I think I probably put more pellets through that than I did the rifle. Over the years since I've shot mostly centerfire and rimfire rifles and pistols in competition as well as for hunting, general target shooting, and plinking. I have also burned my fair share of black powder over the years.

I was out of the hobby for a few years due to work, marriage, and other issues but have recently gotten back into the shooting sports - retirement does have its advantages, and more time for hobbies is one of the big ones. My goal right now is to acquire a good air rifle to go with the Gamo PT85 pistol I have. Still researching that purchase trying to decide on power type and caliber. My last air rifle was the RWS Model 48 in .177, a rifle that was deadly accurate and perfectly capable of destroying any scope I mounted on it, whether certified for airgun use or not! I'm not sure I could shoot one of those any more as the cocking effort may be too much for my arthritic back. Something else I need to consider when shopping for a new gun.

My name is Calvin. I like shooting of all kinds. I used to shoot BB when I was a kid. Many little green army men and grass hoppers fell to my deadly aim.
I am 64 now and just retired and bought a couple of break bbl .17 pellet rifles, and shooting them for fun. found this site and thought I might could learn more about shooting air riffles.

HI,
I'm Scott from northern California. I am just thinking about getting back into air guns at age 50+. I was camping a few weeks ago with my brother and we ended up talking about our air guns when we were children. This later started me thinking about why I am not into firearms like my brother. I finally figured out that I can't stand the loudness of firearms when I am in the wilderness; it just ruins my vibe with nature. Even the sound of airline jets going overhead every 10-15 minutes bugs me when I am out camping (I almost never camp in campgrounds, and usually never even hear a single vehicle other than my own).

I am planning to get a spring gun soon and try my hand at quail and fall turkey. I don't have a lot of other hunting gear, so it may prove difficult to get a thanksgiving turkey, but I should be able to get a few quail snacks this fall.

Shooting air guns, actually all guns-
It's a disease and I know it.
I have been air gunning and shooting for 59 of my 67 years off and on. Neighbor told my mom the daisy she was giving me didn't work so mom said ok. A little oil on the seal by a older kid and away I went. Got a Benjamin pump in high school. Kept it for years. Got into powder burners in the 70's and no air guns. Bought a used FWB 124 San Anselmo marked form Beeman San Rafael in the 80's and it has been an addiction ever since. Shot a lot of air pistol and air rifle silhouette in the 90's. Have a pile of all types and shoot almost daily in my shop.
Never met a air gun I didn't like
some I love
some I tolerate
some I just plain laugh at
but still shoot them all.

Hi,
I am Pablo, I am a small game hunter and lately I have been in an addiction, obviously with airguns.
I currently have 2 springers and 1 PCP, the PCP is the one I have been using more, it's a Hatsan at44-10 with the walnut stock, tuned and equipped with an LDC. I am from the north of Mexico, usually order a lot of products in US websites (such as AOA, Pyramid Air, or AD) and pick them up at the other side. It has been a fun hobby since it was introduced to me 3 years ago and I have learned a lot.

Hello guys. My name is Joe. I've been into hunting, shooting and fishing sports all my life. The older I get the fewer hobbies I maintain. PCP rifles are my main tool any more. I can see where joining this community is a blessing and a curse. Lots of information is great... but a guy could get out of control real quick trying to keep up with the absolute best all the time.

My rifles of choice are currently the Edgun R3M Std .25 and the Daystate Wolverine B Hi Lite .22. I shoot way more targets than game, but love to get out for either and do quite often.

Im in middle Tennessee.

Joe

Wazz up airgun nation!!!! County born and country raised and plan to finish my days in the country. Been hunting and fishing for half a century now. Wore out serveral Red Riders and pumpers as a kid. I now play and hunt with a couple adult versions now. As of late campfussell and strike fast have gotten me into PCP's. Those two sure know how to ruin a feller. I look forward to seeing what all you guys can teach me.

Hi everyone. New to the forum, but I have 20 years plus airgunning experience. Relocated from the UK to Australia at the beginning of 2015, and have been without a rifle since. Prior to leaving I had a BSA R10 and a BSA Ultra, both of which I sold - and an HW95 that is currently being stored at my mother's house in the UK. Had numerous other springers and PCPs over the years, too.
Airguns are considered firearms here in Australia, so I'm in the process of getting licensed so I can get my hands on a rifle again. The HW95 will be joining me here at some point, but hopefully pretty soon I'll be in the market for a rifle or two. Not sure exactly what at this point; my head has definitely been turned by the FX Wildcat, but maybe an HW100 will come first. Who can be sure? Either way, I'm sure I'll have plenty of content to contribute once I'm up and running again, and in the meantime I'll enjoy reading the forum! Any other forum members in Australia, particularly VIC, give me a yell!

Hello from central TX! First of all, I should explain my user name "Longbrownbox". It's simply because I love receiving those long brown boxes in the mail. I entered the dark side in 2011 when I bought my first Airgun, an FX Gladiator. I liked this gun but I sold it to a guy in CA. Next I purchased in order an FX500 .25, Daystate MCT .25, FX Verminator .22, Airarms S410 TDR .177, FX Bobcat .30 and a FX Wildcat .25. One might say I like the FX Airguns and you would be correct. My $ is deposited on the Impact.

I like to to hunt and shoot at paper. I've killed coyotes, hogs, squirrels and pigeons. I competed in EBR in 2014 in the sportsman division and finished 6th in the speed silo, 6th in the 25 yds and 11th in 75 yarder. But I made the podium because I won the Milbro challenge. Each year EBR has improved. This last one was the best of all even though we had a lot of wind.

AirgunNation has done a great job so far too !
