Welcome to AIRGUN NATION - please introduce yourself here!

"cjrdad"Hi, this is Paul from northern Virginia. I've always had interest in weapons and hunting, and last few years got into airguns, thanks in large part to Ted. So far I own: .177 Beeman, .22 and .25 MRod, .22 P-rod, .30 FX Boss, and .50 Dragon Claw. Looking forward to gaining more knowledge about this sport and hope I can contribute in some way. Awesome forum!
i'm in NOVA often too. I'd love to meet up to take a look at some of those beauties.

Well its me dodge3500 and I hangout in Knoxville Tennessee. I've played paintball since early 1990s and seeing as I'm getting older now time to start plinking at targets instead of soo much running through the woods shooting folks with paintballs.:)
I like bullpups so gonna purchase me one in October probably in .25 caliber.I did have a webly raider10 in .22 caliber but I never got to shoot it before I had to get rid of it for a sweet paintball gun.I'm gonna gear up for PCP air guns and ease off paintball a bit so here I am.:)

Hi. My name is Jesse Black I am new here so I just figured I would Introduce myself. I usually do not join forums. But I am a airgun collector and shooter. I mostly just shoot paper targets, but I am not against hunting I just want to sure I can make I can make a clean kill. I have not got into the PCP's yet because of the extra cost, air tank etc. I am mostly into Benjamin air guns. I have a Benjamin Model 347, Benjamin Genesis in .22, Benjamin Trail NP pistol, and a Benjamin Titan .177. I have more but these are my favorite. I am glad there is a place that airgunners can come together and just chat about our hobby. Thank you Ted for starting this forum. It is nice to meet you all.

Hi guys and hopefully gals... A few maybe.. Would be nice.. I'm pretty new to all of this. Originally from California, I live on a farm on the southern coast of Sweden and keep, along with horses, dogs and cats, chickens for household eggs. As you may know, keeping chickens means keeping rats. When their numbers grow outside of the acceptable ratio of my benevolence to their right to exist, a round of culling is implemented. I've used poison a few times, but couldn't bring myself to do it last fall and began looking into alternative methods. A friend and neighbor brought over his old rusty .177 breakbarrel of unknown origin and assured me it would do the job, albeit painstakingly, a few at a time. I set about sourcing a better weapon and as an introduction rifle chose the .22 Hatsan Mod. 60, a reworked Webley Stingray. I practiced springer technique while searching out the best pellets for my gun gun until I could reliably produce 5 shot groups inside a nickel at a modest 13 yards over and over. To be fair I use tru glo iron sights so... I've done ok over the past winter. 30 or so rats that have had, "mmmm.. peanut butter..." as their final thoughts. Not a bad way to go. I am now in the process of dialing in a Benjamin Marauder Pistol for the purpose. Waiting on a scope and looking forward to using a quiet little repeating carbine with no recoil. Enough already! Thank you all for a massively informative forum! Special thanks to Ted Bier, Matt Dubber and Jim Chapman for being such awesome ambassadors! Adios for now!

What's going on team,

my name is Ryan and I am rather new to the air gun scene. My wife and I live in Washington state and love to shoot the exposed shells from the balcony when the tide goes out. We don't have anything special, just two .22 break barrels and a Crossman vigilante Co2 for shooting cans @ 10 yards.

I am thinking about ordering a "P-Rod" or Benjamin Marauder Pistol in .22, but haven't been able to make up my mind as I see some REALLY nice guns pop up in the classifieds.

Either way, my wife and I have been big fans of Teds channel for awhile now (got us into shooting a few years ago) so we thought, "we've lurked enough"

other hobbies include golf, prospecting, mountain biking and living life. Glad to be aboard.

Hello Forest_Pete here aka Peter and I'm 23 years old married to my best friend and we have 2 awesome children. I'm new to the forum community so be kind if I make a mistake on here I'm still reading on the rules of this site, I've been shooting rifles since I was 7 yrs old my first rifle was a 22 short rifle (one of the ol' hand me downs). I started off shooting with the bare basic iron site and moved up to a 4x12WR scope for my 30-30 when I found out that I got a rush from long range shooting and the difficulty of hitting targets from long range. Around 9 years old I was finally able to purchase my own Pump Master air rifle (learned the value of money and the long term benefits of money management) from my allowance and mowing neighbors lawns, after about 100 shots with the cowboy at targets and house sparrows I got addicted to air gunning right away. I took a few year break from hunting and many other of my hobbies for school and football, around 21 yrs I finished my Business Management and Building trades courses I built a house and moved back to where I grew up and started my family. Once I was back in my own area I felt great getting out and shooting again, scraping off all the rust that built up on me after the break I took for a better future, I was out and about again putting up targets from 25 yards to 50 yards away knocking them down. That's when I had to upgrade majorly and bought a Beeman RS2 Series Springer Dual Caliber to touch those birds that keep moving just out of reach for my now well expired Pump Master. After watch videos on youtube made by Ted, AirgunGearShow, and HuntersVermin and more I wanted to improve my air rifling skills and join the air gunners community for possible future competitions and more.

Hi guys,
After retiring and have more time I'm back into air guns, been away for about 15 years. The only guns I have is a Beeman HW77K. Boy, things have really changed. But after 15 years the Old gun still shoots straight. I have a new Srod in .25 on the way. It should be delivered today. But with all this rain we are getting her in Maryland today all I will be able to do is read the book and start breaking it in next week. Found this forum so hopefully this old dog can learn something new.

Greetings fellow air gun enthusiasts! Glad to be in a community of folks who all share a passion for all things air guns. I hail from California's central coast and have been an air gunner since 2010 thanks to my introduction to Prunedale Mike (also on this forum). I'm a retired Air Force officer and aerospace engineer now managing an exciting ballistic missile defense program -- think very large hypervelocity projectiles :)

Though I got my start with springers, my favorite being an RWS 350 Magnum, I quickly graduated to PCPs and have owned just about all the high-end models. My joy is long range precision shooting and love putting California ground squirrels to sleep from great distances.

I have a few hunting vids on my YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/user/321astroman/videos

My other passions include mountain biking, Jeeping, backpacking, and flying drones, especially through first person view (FPV)

I'm looking forward to learning more from all of you and share with the community as well.

Cheers!

Hi folks. I just found AGN as I haven't been active on the forums for a while now. I've been an airgun enthusiast for almost 15 years. I punch paper mostly but spent a lot of time doing pest control at some local farms. I was very active on the yellow forum until 3-4 yrs ago as my kids got older, business travel became more frequent and life just got busier. I'm from the N. Shore of MA am married with an 8 y/o daughter and 11 y/o son. I work in sales/marketing for a biotech company.

I started with an R9 from AOA many years ago and was bitten by the PCP bug shortly thereafter. I got my first PCP (the gorgeous thumbhole Falcon FN19) and a pump just a couple of years into the hobby. Before I knew it, I had a CF tank and a small quiver of PCPs. A half dozen other models (mostly FX) passed through my hands over the following years. However once I picked up the FX Cyclone, I found the perfect tool for my needs. I've had my current .22 Cyclone since 2005. I have both the synthetic and old-school walnut stocks and it's topped with a Legend 5-15x mildot. Some may remember that it was offered in an un-shrouded, thicker barreled version way back when and I added a very effective short carbon fiber LDC from a fellow yellow forum member. It's as accurate, efficient and quiet as I need, shoots the 15.9 grain JSB's at ~29FPE and I love the repeatable adjustability.

I've really had no desire to buy a new rifle for a while now...until I laid eyes on the FX Bobcat a few yrs ago. Since coming across the Wildcat and Impact this spring, it's getting harder and harder not to want to try something new.

Looks like a nice place you have here and I see a number of familiar names. I'm looking forward to reading and contributing.

Larry in Oregon here. Congratulations on the new forum Ted, nice to see Michael over here and in the command module. My air gun habit started way back when, with a new R-10. Since then I have had to upgrade to a bigger gun safe ever 10 yrs. or so, funny how that works. I live in the sticks on the coast of Oregon where there is a lot of hunting. I have my own range so I punch a lot of paper, but mainly I am a hunter. Lots of Nutria, Starlings, gs's, I take several trips a year to my sisters ranch and feed lot in Eastern Idaho for Rock Chuck, doves, and pigeons. I retired 3 yrs ago so I have plenty of time to play.

Hello,

My name is Al Clark of AERO-MAGNUM. We are a start-up business dedicated to the creation of what we like to call "Airmunition" for big-bore airguns.

I am an avid Airgunner, and like anyone else involved in the sport...am extremely addicted! Constantly in the "dog-house" addicted, lol!:)

Recently learned about this Forum from another Airgunner and very glad that he made me aware of it. I really like the clean lay-out and format.

I do not have a particular favorite type of airgun, just simply love them all and own several types.

Look forward to furthering my knowledge of the sport here, and undoubtedly will, based on the caliber of Membership.

Happy Shooting,

Al Clark

Ginuwine1969 here and what's up Airgun Nation, please to be apart of this prestigious airgunning forum. I've been into air guns for a little over two years now, got a late start, being 47yrs old. Started off with a RWS 34p Pro Compact.177 springer to rid myself of some pesky bunnies and starlings that would not leave my grass seeds alone. Then got addicted and crossed over to the dark side pretty quickly and thanks to AirArmsHuntingSA picked up s510 FAC in .22 and loved it, but it always felt kinda long especially with the Neil C LDC. Then the clouds parted and word began to spread about the Kalibru Cricket bullpup (like wild fire) so I knew then that I had to have it, short compact accurate as hell, so it soon became mine as well in .22. That's what most of those great airgun pesters and hunters where using for the most part at the time. You know the whole cost, need, air, availability thing. Now that the world has changed again and .25 seems to be the standard and others are opting for even bigger bore, its time for an upgrade again (wifey is very supportive) its time for a .25 but which one??? FX has now shaken the air gunning forums with the Wildcat and the Impact so again the answer is written on the wall only just not as clear, i'm leaning towards the Impact cause I don't have a .177 in PCP so i can just get that kit as well. I have pros and cons with both guns so i will just wait a little longer until the Impact releases and see what you guys have to say about it, and KNOW this is not the usual for me I have no issues being a beta tester on something new, but I want to also pick up a Omega Compressor so I think that should be first.

I like to punch paper, I enjoy pesting from 25 - 112 yards anything closer than 25 just seems too easy. I would love to get into hunting small game, maybe hooking up with a forum member that lives up or near the High Deserts of Southern California and going out and being social. I'm currently in Las Vegas and will be hitting up the americanshooter range to do some pellet testing (50 yards) this week if anyone cares to come out.
