Ok here it is, Umarex .22cal origin 35yds standing. CPHP14.3gr 6-24x50ao pinty scope sorry for the shaky video it was a bit windy and my tripod sucks.

Ok first time trying this, and not really a success i must say.

First fault, i waited 2 – 3 hours into my shooting session to shoot this, and by then the wind had picked up a lot, i should have done it right away or done it with the slugs i shot after this.

Also seem like i just disregarded 2 of the targets 🙁

Wind Left to right gusts 7 M/s that is the same as 15.6 MPH or 13.6 knots average winds 4 M/s

Photos on rig / seating and targets in the background ( AGN challenge paper in fridge sort of pellet trap )

Pretty ghetto setup, our shed for shooting also double as a lot of other things at the moment, and as you might be able to see we are shooting up hill at a estimated 10 – 15 degrees.

Video of the walk of shame,,,,, i already knew my performance was not even tin foil medal worthy.

Shot this one at home at 30 yards off of a bench. In 5 mph winds. A cool but nice day to shoot. Used my FX M3 in 22 cal.

Brought out the elder statesmen for a run. Not many left in the yellow box so I shot 1 per letter. 2nd photo showing target not uploading

Gun: Sheridan Blue Streak,

Sights: Yes

Pellet: Sheridan yellow box, .20 cal

Position: Offhand

Distance: 10m indoor range

I looked on Ebay, and the cheapest I could find the 20cal Sheridan pellets was for about $70 for a full box. Here is a link. People are even selling their empty containers on there, so maybe you can sell your box and recoup some of the cost of the new one?

I should have shot mine right now, aside for the darkness, we have storm force winds and hurricane force gusts, i probably wouldn't even hit the damn paper on 50 yards. 🙂

Already now the apartment block i live in are down 1 roofing tile, i expect more to follow later.

Sounds like a PERFECT time to go shooting to me! Tie the paper to a string, and you're all set! Get a video!

Seize the day… or in this case our $20, $20, $2 wager. Mano a mano. Impact a Impact. It was not the best of conditions, but we had to get this done ahead of the cold front and much more serious wind.

Not a clear winner between us so we will let the $20,20,2 carry over to next month's challenge.

PS… you may notice a change in the currency. While driving home with the board I remembered having a Jefferson $2 bill stored away with my coin collection. Hasn't been touched in over 30 years. The perfect 2.

Skeeterhawk, glad you liked the Sheridan and the old school pellets. Killed a lot of critters with those things back in the day, not sure how!

I've seen them on ebay, tempting but holding on to them for now.

Not a clear winner between us

Looking at your bet, I came up with a way to score it. See the post Alternate Scoring Method – Like Golf. Here are your score cards side-by-side:

I come up with Flytraps as being the winner with a total deviation from the target of 2.702". LessMundane came in a close second with a total deviation of 3.243" from the target.

One interesting thing to note is that the top of the bottom left "2" for Fly was the only "perfect" score on both cards. I couldn't measure any notable deviation for that shot.

Anyway, this seems like an interesting way to score in a situation like this where you don't have rings to use to count, you can just use blatant total distance from the target for each shot, and Voila! A winner, where it "wasn't clear" before.

Okay…. can we get this challenge moving. Only 20 (correction edit) days left in Feburary and January hasn't even been reconciled. Don't even mention October. Maybe you should put SkeeterHawk in charge of monthly scoring. Or would this be more manageable Bi-monthly?

BTW, Less…last I checked, with 23 days left in the month, and it is the 8th, that is February 31st. You may want to check with Mrs. Mundane to see if my statistics are in "left field" somewhere, but statistically there have been very few February's with 31 days. 🙂

This is my first trial in this contest ; weather was good , light rain and no wind. The gun was fitted with a Huma silencer and Rowan Engineering air stripper . Not sure it increases the accuracy but I like the look 😊.

My apologies for not getting to this sooner. Truth be told I was out of town spending time with my father in the ICU.

This (technically last) months challenge winner is SkeeterHawk. Not only did he shoot in ridiculously windy conditions, but he managed to hit the paper with all 15 shots, and had plenty of encouraging words to help drive the competition.
