I know everyone has had too much time on their hands with the pandemic. Fortunately, I received a new FX Dreamlite Tac and lots of pellets at the beginning of May. And equally fortunately I can shoot in my backyard. After much tweaking and testing I really wanted to see how accurate the gun really is.
That's when I started using my extra spare time and bits and pieces from work shop to come up with some weird targets. My latest is something that looks like 4th grader's science fair project illustrating DNA. The result is airsoft BB's hot glued to 1/8" steel or aluminum rod. The object is to see if I can pick off individual BBs without hitting the rod. It's easy to tell when the rod is hit - all of the BBs explode off of the rod.
My second is a variation of the classic spinner. My spinners are pieces of steel 1/2" x 1/8" flat stock drilled so that the 1/8" side faces me. I drilled the pivot holes so one side is slightly longer, so that they will always hang vertically.
My last is a variety is series of nuts and bolts. The red ones are 3/8 or 1/2" and the little ones are 4-40s. For the bases I cut 1" squares of 1/8" aluminum and counter sunk one side to make a flat base. The object behind these guys is place the orange ones behind the red ones so that the orange barely show and then shoot the orange ones without hitting the red ones.
The reason I posted these is spark folks' imaginations and to see what other people are doing for "weird targets" . If you have something please post photos and descriptions.

NICE!!! Strike anywhere matches would bring out the PYRO in you. Have a FIRE EXTINGUISHER handy.
