Weihrauch Moderators

I have a Hogan (English) silencer that I bought from Krale a couple of years ago, and I think it might be the best I've used. My Weihrauch is very good, probably second, and then the Donny Sumo. They are all totally satisfactory and the differences are very minor. Since most of my hearing was left on the rifle, pistol and shotgun ranges years ago, it's hard for me to distinguish much difference.

The Weihrauch is the best for it's size that I have found. I have a Hugget that's almost as quiet, but substantially more expensive.

I've never been impressed with the DonnyFL stuff.

What's most impressive about the Weihrauch silencer, is how simple it is and the fact that it works so well. It's nothing more than a couple washers, and some felt and haircurlers. That's it. It's also extremely lightweight (unlike the DonnyFL) so it's not as likely to affect POI or accuracy by changing harmonics or whatever. The machining tolerances are also very good.

The Weihrauch moderator on their HW44 pistol works amazing well. I's a huge huge difference with it on and off. It doesn't seem possible that that little skinny thing would work so good...

Agree completely. I removed my HW44 moderator long ago when I didn't need it. Put it back on last week and was again amazed at how quiet it makes the pistol.

I have a weihrauch on my FX wildcat mk2. The gun has a 500mm barrel, and a 300cc tube, which extend under the moderator. The weihrauch has just enough clearence to the tube, as its OD is a litle smaller than most other mods. It works very well, and is well worth the money if you like the lenght of it.

My favorite "expensive" mod is the huma modular mod. What I like about it is that you can add, or remove sections, finding just the right balance of keeping the gun short, and at the same time silent enough. With a traditional mod the gun might get longer than nescesarry, with a longer mod than needed. Or it gets to loud, because the mod is just to short. So with a traditional mod, you are stuck with what you got, as you can not change it.
