Yep, pretty popular, actually. I wound up buying a refurb from Pyramyd Air...I tried AoA first, but they have a bad habit of not advising customers on their website that items are out of stock, and after you order, the order 'pends' for several days...when I ordered a few weeks ago, PA was out of stock on them, I believe Krale was also. I didn't want one of the fancier units, just a plain jane traditional stocked one. Good luck to ya...

Most airgun vendors have a link where you give them your email address and they will email you when the out of stock item is available. I did this with Krale. Saved money and the wait was short. Good Luck.

Yeah Ken Hicks has one coming for me. but just did not think this air gun thing was this big.so many different ones to chose from. patients is not one of my better attributes,and man I just absolutely did not want to send my money to another country just didn’t seem right

well I checked Krale today for a .22 caliber HW97 and was surprised at what I found

Man that’s got to be a typo because for that amount Daystate or Fx and then I gotta think about it long and very hard

I own one in the Blue laminate stock but in .17. I also own 5 rather high end PCPs (FX, Daystate, and Brocock). The HW-97 doesn't get shot much. It is a very nice rifle and more than a few times I've wished for one in .22. Probably will get one somewhere down the road. Haven't looked lately but the last time I did, you could get one for less than $700.00. Just know that these rifles are sub-12. While that isn't a big deal in the UK as it is law, it may be to you here in the US. Good luck with your search.

In a Springer I would definitely get .177 for a flatter trajectory and less cocking effort. Get it tuned with a vortek kit and u got one sweet springer.

Yeah bud I just did the same thing and got a refurbished 22 from Pyramyd Air hopefully it will be as good as the 177 I got so I will keep my fingers crossed hey anyway thanks for the advice

Very popular here. A well made, well finished rifle for sensible money. I recently acquired mine, and being up until then a budget break barrel man I'm still warming to it, but I can certainly see why they're so popular. Mine is mechanically quite muted, and will doubtless get quieter still with a few thousand pellets through it.

As already said, HW's are really good out of the box, They can be made smoother though with a good tuning kit 
Tghis ,177" HW97 had a Vmach kit fitted by the last owner and have to say, Cocking is as smooth as silk!, It's very accurate too, At least when other folk shoot it, I can't shoot fer toffee!!
