Weihrauch HW77K Special Edition .177

This morning I ordered a Weihrauch HW77K special edition .177 airgun from Airguns of Arizona. I ordered a package deal with scope rings and mount. All put on and sighted in for free. Jacob said they would shoot it through a chronograph and give me the results I believe. He was a great guy to talk to. I really like the laminate stock on this gun. I wanted the HW97K in blue grey laminate. But they were all gone in .177 and won't get any more until next year. So this was my next choice.

Hey mate I have had the exact same gun for nearly 2 years now. It's a sweet piece of gear. Tested quite a few pellets and mine loves the H & N Barracuda Hunter Extreme. Taken heaps of hares and pigeons with it.

Brad that's gorgeous!

I have a Beeman HW97K in .177. Beech stock. Very smooth and accurate. I know you're going to love that '77.

That stock though -lordy!

Had mine for a week now, little twangy but impressive shooter. Mine is liking CPL's and FTT 4.52, also testing the new FTT Barracudas in 9.5g and they look very promising.

You'll like it for sure. Mine Likes JSB Exacts the most but H&Ns work well too. Like @oldmanblue said it's a bit twangy but nothing serious. I bought a Vortek Kit after my spring broke (after about 13.000 shots) just to see the difference. The twang is now a thump but like I said it didn't bother me in the first place. A rifle to pass down surely.

Great choice, that is one of my favorite finishes on an HW stock. Only I favor the HW97K look without the sights.

For me the Vortek or similar kit is imperative. Hate the factory twang.

This is my HW77 Stainless in 22 cal. Had it for a couple of months now and the twangyness is getting less audible. It loves the H&N Greens 12.65 gr, very accurate. I’ve since removed the front sight. Weihrauch really make wonderful airrifles don’t they.

Here are photos. This gun is even better than I thought. They shot it and sighted it in. Even sent me a test target at 23yds for 5 shots. Impressive. It avg 889fps for 5 shots with an extreme spread of 15fps with H&N Field Target Trophy 8.64gr pellets.

It’s the mount that comes with Niko Stirling scopes. They lock up tight. Have 3 stop pins and three large Allen screws to clamp down. I’ve never had one that has moved especially on my scope killer 177 Trail. Too bad the scopes don’t last that long but I now have a ZR mount on it and so far so good.

Ok shot it today at 20yds. These were the best ones. 5 shots each target. Those were the best pellets. Those are what they recommend and shipped with gun.
