So, I have been recently gathering and shooting my HW30's and HW50's, but always wondered about a HW35. There's not a lot of info on this forum about them and then I get a notification from Krale that the HW35k's are in stock. A few inches shorter than the standard HW35, looks like the 30's Urban Pro and/or the 50's Hunter with the attached moderator and no open sights. Any experience with or thoughts on them?

I had a shorty 35 briefly many years ago, made up for me by a British shop with a Venom tune and 17" (I think?) barrel. I liked it OK but prefer the handling of the standard 19" barrel. It would definitely have quite a tail-heavy balance (which some will prefer) with the short barrel and a scope. I confess to no experience with how a mod might affect that, though.

A personal favourite with the nicest lock up action of any air rifle all time.
The annoying resonance of the clunk of a break barrel, is not present, neither is the clunk of breaking it open. It snicks open and can be closed almost silently, with a completely solid lock up.
Hate the new version with the dodgy chequering but thought the old version with forend groove was great, as it metered exactly where you position your left hand due to the grooves forcing repeatable placement of the hand.
The shot cycle is like a rim fire due to the stroke being relatively short and fast. The K version with a decent scope is a great hunting arm.

...and having a couple of 50's led to my interest in the 35. Ordered one from Krale and now they are "out of stock"..

I would get the HW 35E. One of the best looking springers out there. Really like it just with iron sights.
