Weihrauch hw100

Any of you guys who own this rifle? How many shots per fill on a .22 cal and how is the accuracy, is it a 100 yard shooter? Any other input you may have is also appreciated. I am on a air rifle buying binge. I have 2 on order and this one looks sweet, I would love to have it if its a shooter. Thanks.

Hi RJOS3PH,
About three years ago I bought a Weihrauch HW100 FSB in .22 cal. from Krale-Schietsport. It was a beautiful rifle and very well made...but it was not accurate past 25-30 yards. I was sorely disappointed with its lack of accuracy...it was really sad. I want you to know that I bought one can of every kind of .22 pellets available and none of them would produce a decent group at 50 yards. I don't know if Weihrauch is still using the same barrels now days, but that is a question maybe someone else can answer.

I personally recommend the FX Streamline Walnut, and I also recommend you purchase yours from Airguns of Arizona...the service and advice is second to none. Here is a link for you to check it out for yourself: https://www.airgunsofarizona.com/precharged-pcp/fx-streamline-walnut/ I got one of these not long after I got rid of the HW100 and it is everything I had hoped it would be. The walnut stock is just beautiful and mine is laser accurate. I fitted mine with a Huma regulator and an Athlon Midas 2.5-15x50 SFP scope. I currently have it set up to shoot the 34gr. MKII at 800 ft/s which gives me 58 ft/lbs energy. And it has the power wheel that allows it to be set to high, medium, or low power.

The FX Streamline has so many wonderful features...it weighs 6.6 lbs. versus the HW100 weighs 7.9 lbs., and it also "points" perfectly when shouldered. I am in love with mine and will keep it for my lifetime...it is definitely an heirloom rifle. I recommend it in the very highest terms possible. I would not trade it for any other air rifle in the whole world...and I am not joking my friend. Here is a couple pics of mine:

I have an HW100. I won't go into all the details in this post about the problems I had with it when I first got it, but you can read my two threads from the Weihrauch Owners Club forum:

New HW100T 41J .22 accuracy

HW100 .22 FAC Barrel Replacement: FX or LW?

I love my HW100 now that I fixed the problem. If I had to do this all over again, I would buy the .22 FAC FSB version and replace the shroud with the Huggett moderator/shroud. It is as quiet as the original non-FSB version with a moderator.

There are lots of YouTube videos and information about how to work on these yourself. Parts are available.

I would not suggest this if you want it for accurate shooting at 100 yards.
I hope this helps.

RJOSEPH,
FX air rifles are like a beautiful woman…they may have a few eccentric moments and sometimes give us pause, but we who are in love with them wouldn’t trade them for the whole world. And I am truly blessed to own not one, but two of these gorgeous FX ladies. One of them is my Streamline…slim and sedate and well behaved. The other is my Wildcat…she is all curves and is very aptly named because she is a wild one! If you buy a Streamline get the .25 caliber. I don't think there are many .22 pcp air rifles that can compete with the accuracy of the Streamline when she is shooting her 34gr. MKII pellets! And she has three power settings to match whatever mood she may be in... ;-)
All the best, Chuck

Lets see if the Streamline becomes a legend like the HW100.
.22 barrels are available if you get unlucky, just over 100Euros which cant be said about FX barrels and liners.
LOL
lets meet here in 5 years, and show us what is left over from your streamline. HW100s many still going strong after 10years.

I prefer the mag design of the HW100 and how it fits into the action. Streamline? Yes but the ugly magazine is still poking out! Have you noticed typically the marketing pictures are with no mags fitted.
thats why I got 2:0 for Weihrauch

This is a biased site, sorry guys I had to bring the balance back where it should be.
Back to the original question, shotcount depends on what power you are using, actually this gun is perfect if you use a hand pump especially in KT short format. Also i would avoid the US long barrel versions. get a 41cm max.
if you want to shoot 100yards, you will have to get larger calibers. That would be obviously not a hw100 since they dont make such.

Not mate, there is straight talk over there not hiding anything. I know i am one of VunderWOCers, that is over 1000 posts. They messed up the forums layout so it is declining now though.
I have 2 pieces, I thought the original poster wants to hear direct first hand experience/input. The .22 I have got also has a BSA barrel fitted, it is a great airgun. Weihrauch lacks innovation, they did not come out with any bull pup for example. I moved on to other brand so my interests lie elsewhere, so i am not pushing anything really here. Honestly. Take care

I import hw in my country uruguay, never had a single problem with almost 15 hw100 .22. They tend to be pellet fussy below 41j but if you turn up the power to 880+ with jsb 18 they are as accurate as you can get. EI don’t know there but here if someone have a problem with a Weihrauch rifle, they can call me and I will either solve it or return the money so there is no risk for the user
