David Slade at Airgunwerks fixed mine. I think it was about $100 plus shipping. I think I remember that he said the OEM piston seals will fail. Mine went there for being unable to cock it, he recommended seal replacement first off. (edited to answer all the question)

Try removing the barrel breech o-ring and flipping it around if that helps remove and soak it in Alphabet org auto trans stop leak quick fix for a day then clean it with dish detergent then reinstall with the good side showing.

And one drop of chamber lube in the transfer port do not overlube one drop every 2000-3000 rounds or so.

What did you pay for it? They seem to get good money on auction sights. I have a .25 and a .22. The .22 was the one that was repaired and it shoots well, and prefers the pointed premier pellet, of all things. I want to get the sights for the .25, haven’t had much luck finding any.

Yeah, that was one I would get. I like mine, and it would still be worth what was in it. I got my .22 in a pawn shop too, discovered it was broke when I got it home, but it was a looker so I decided to get it fixed. The .25 isn’t as pretty and I really just wanted it for the barrel, the the original one could be a .25, when I got it it was rougher than it appeared and missing both sights. A .177 Patriot must be something to shoot.

$270 is a good price for a 95% UK Patriot all you gotta do is gas ram that. Probably $70. I had a UK Patriot 25 that I put a Theoben GAS RAM decades ago it was WAY easier to cock and shoot than my Theoben Eliminaor (Beeman Crow Magnum 3) a shooting buddy bugged the hell for me to trade him and I could never get that one back even my Webley Vulcan and Eliminator never got back either. The Turkish Patriot and Walther Falcon Hunter (Hatsan?) just ain't the same...

I would go back and offer less and take it as-is because the equity is like at least double that. Prolly only got a broken mainspring easy to replace use a car scissors jack with couple 2x4s and few nuts and bolts to make your own spring compressor and use a ratchet and deep socket.

Surely the pawn shop owner down at wanna be stuck with a broken gun? Maybe he can take $200? 

I recently saw an English made Patriot/Kodiak go for $700 on Gunbroker. $200 and a $30 seal is definitely worth it. Even an extra $100 and shipping costs to have David work on it is worth it. I bought mine a couple years ago, used, for $450.

I just bought an unfired, as new in box English made Beeman Kodiak in .177 from a collector. Paid $600.00 Canadian for it. Rarely does one come across one for sale here.

I have a UK made Webley Patriot in .25 I bought it new in the mid 1990s sent it the David Slade to install a Theoben gas ram right after purchasing it and it's been sitting unused since. It's probably got less that 100 pellets through it since new and its still in mint condition. I don't want to shoot it since it's been sitting so long. Could use seals and lube. Does anyone know of someone in Oregon that can service the old Patriot for me? I will send to David Slade in Tennessee if I can't find someone qualified that's closer to me in Southern Oregon. The cost of shipping is crazy! Also I still have the original spring and guides that were removed when the gas ram was installed. Thinking of going back to the spring because of the age of the ram, any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave.
