Watch out for scammers, yall

I’m wondering if some sort of scam bots are responsible for sending these types of responses. Messages like the ones pictured above are like Craigslist scam messages. I can’t see many people going for this type of mess nowadays. However, it is good to share screenshots for those who genuinely may not be able to spot the ruse.

Had one guy who made a minor effort of papering some posts and then lifted pics from an eBay ad, another that was a pretty blatant one recently.

Well, I think the whole forum aspect makes it exceedingly easy to deal with regulars. You can get a pretty good idea of the kind of person they are by what they say and do.... and what others say about them.

I’m on a local firearm forum. I have a WTB add posted there. And I got this message today. Yes I new it was a scam right from the start.

Same guy sent me to Jason also. His phone number was 732-456-5069. There not very bright. I was looking for a rapid 7 stock. Three different people have tried to scam me already for that add. The Jason guy sent me a picture of a stock that I saw for sale over in England. Had a second guy sent me the very same picture. Said it was a new stock he just made. LOL He was in NY....too funny. Third guy tried to sell me a complete rapid 7 for a good price. He wouldn't send me his phone number and pictures other than the one he sent me. And didn't tell me the S/N when i asked. His name was Frank. (Edwardfrank00000007) Claimed to be in Miami Florida. Watch out for the scumbags out there.
