The cats out of the bag… a .25 caliber WILDCAT that is!

In cooperation with Airgun Depot, Sportsmatch Rings & JSB Predator International we are bringing you another Review-Discuss-Win!  Steve’s busy shooting away on a full review of the new FX Wildcat MKII with 2 different barrel liners (SmoothTwist & SmoothTwist X) and how to swap them, then we’ll be hosting a contest for one of you lucky shooters to WIN it!

    Pics compliments of AEAC

Preliminary results yielded impressive accuracy (but with which barrel liner?)…

Nice looking gun for sure, but kindly indulge a bull pup noob question. Could this (or many others) be used by a lefty?  The mag location looks to be a problem. Uj

This is AGN.  Noobs fear not!

This one might be a handful for a leftie as cheeckpiece, cocking arm, and magazine aren’t reversible but some south paws love it because you can operate all and never take your finger off the trigger.. just remove the cheek pieces or maybe have some made up.  No big deal.

P.S. the owner and inventor of FX is a leftie and shoots this way.

The Wildcat is one of, if not the nicest looking bullpups out there.  Noice!  Looking forward to the vid.

I am left handed and had no trouble shooting my wildcat.  The biggest downside is the cheek piece because that corner is quite sharp but there is a company in the UK that makes a nice left handed cheek piece for the wildcat fairly inexpensive.

FYI, I am a lefty and don’t think the placement of the magazine would be a problem for you.  However, the cheekpiece on the Wildcat and the Impact are not lefty friendly. It would have been so easy for FX to just continue the round shape of the cheekpiece around the right side instead of the sharp ridge and cutoff shape which makes it uncomfortable for a lefty to get a cheek weld.  The problem is that the scope rail is low so the sharp edge is extremely uncomfortable unless you add rail risers to raise your scope level.  It looks funny but allows you to not feel the sharp edge as much.

Hey FX, Fredrick Axxelson is a left hand shooter.  Why don’t you make an ambidextrous shape cheekpiece for your Impacts and Wildcats?  It would be so simple to do and not detract trom the looks of the rifle any more than it does on a Crown or a Streamline.
