I am happy with my gauntlet but one thing is for sure that it is on the heavy side. The Fortitude being 6 pounds and 46" long would be a great pcp rifle to have or win.

Excellent review as always. Would it be very hard to replace the stock trigger with one for a aftermarket Marauder trigger? From the reviews I've seen like the Gauntlet the main issue is the trigger I've the gauntlet in .22 I love shooting it but the trigger sucks.

Great entry level pcp!

I found some challenges with my .22 fortitude. My accuracy at 17 yds has a spread of 1 inches with 4 different brands of pellets. The bolt requires much more effort to pull back than either my Maximus, Discovery, or my two Marauders. I do like the weight, classic plastic stock, and marauder style breech. The trigger is not a problem as that can be corrected with minor mods. A Marauder size bolt would be a great improvement by providing additional leverage. And yes, I hand pump all my pcp air rifles and did not find it difficult on the Fortitude plus it requires less pumps than my marauders. Hence, other than accuracy issue, overall I like this air rifle.

This is a kewl little gun. Perfect kids gun, hunter you can tote all day, and even great to give to that lady in your life when she says your MRod is just to heavy..... Ive been waiting so long for a review. Seen Southern's vid. It isnt a guantlet, but it looks like a great all day hunter, maybe something you keep in the truck.... If i dont win i'm gonna but one anyways!!!!

This looks like the perfect backyard airgun. I love the light, narrow well-proportioned stock. I wonder if the regulator can be tweaked to provide a tad more power?

This is almost like a cross-breed between an M-rod and a P-rod. NO-rod? Get it? ha...ha...ha...Great review btw!

I wonder if any hits on the lovebugs affected accuracy.

Great review.... I have heard some negative press about the fortitude and I think some are misunderstanding Crosman's offering. Not every gun needs to be super powered. I think Crosman did a good job of walking the line here. Decent power and shot count in an ultralight package... just screams small game hunter. They have a pretty good range of product offering and I think this one has it's own place in their line-up... great product and good review...

As an owner of this fine air rifle, I’m just pleased as punch. As Southern Gunner stated in his video, the regulator can’t be adjusted, and no power adjusters can be added. However, there is a company that makes a kit to enable adding a TSS and adjusting the power. He replaces the factory spring, adds a new back plug that is drilled and tapped for an adjustment screw. Not only can you increase the power, but cocking effort is greatly reduced. At least that ts what the guy said in his video. (No, I don’t have first hand knowledge, yet.) As soon as I scrape up enough pennies, I will get the kit and install it in my fortitude. That is if I can find the video again. Lol
