Watch & Discuss the Air Arms s510 XS Ultimate Sporter Laminate .25

As a former owner of the AA US/XS I can unequivocally say that this is a beautiful piece of airgun artistry. My walnut stock was absolutely stunning. The laminate version is undoubtedly crafted as cleanly. Manelli does an amazing job on AA stocks. The gun is quite large and to my mind best suited to use with a bipod and a good stable resting point. I can't imagine freehand stance with this rifle without the use of a hamster attached to the built in Euro rail...similar to the FTP 900.

One does need to understand that the XS is factory tuned and other than the power settings you have no control over pressure settings or hammer spring tension. It was my experience that the regulator was factory set to best deliver 18grn (either AA or JSB) .22 pellets spot on at 50yds. Since the airgun first came out a second generation of XS regulators has been developed.

A well known AGN member was able to achieve a 1" group at 100 yards with 18grn AA pellets but then he is an excellent air gunner. I make no claims about my own skill other than a simple statement of my experience: best I could do was a dime sized group at around 50 meters, This airgun spits out the 18gr pellets at an unbelievable velocity, my recollection is 900+ f/s.

These are beautiful guns and worth any serious air gunners attention.
