Watch & Discuss the Air Arms Galahad!

I have looked at the Galahad before and liked what I saw but the price was a little scary. It is an Air Arms and I guess the the quality will always step forward. Never owned a bullpup and I wonder how difficult it is to get a good cheek weld with high rings needed for my scope. Also, how many shots did it take to get used to the cocking lever? What results did you get with H and N Barracuda, if you tried them?

"theSavage12"This gun seems like it'd be a fantastic woods gun, short lightweight but doesn't seem to lack any of the accuracy of a full length rifle

Wonder about the cocking lever in hunting ... at least in my neck of the woods as we have a lot of gatcha vines that could hang up on it. But I don't know it may not be an issue
That being said I like the looks and darn it I sure enough like the fact they made concessions to us lefty folks big time CUDOS for that!!!
Kind of wish they took the cocking lever one step further and made it so it fully returns on spring load .... that is to say push down with your thumb , release and it pulls itself back up, now that would make for some fast shooting

*****Question? Does it have an anti-double feed?
Thanks Steve kind of sounded like you might have a hard time turning that one loose

Thanks for another great review, Steve.

I like the cocking lever in that it is switchable left or right.

I like the build quality.

I like light weight and quiet.

I like adjustable power plus regulator for shot to shot consistency and efficient use of air and higher shot count.

For targets inside 50 yards, what's not to like about the Air Arms Galahad!

Count me in on this one.

Love the design, looks very bad ass to me. Cocking lever is nice idea, I'm sure it will work just fine and will be easy enough to get used to. 5 power settings are very welcome (I hear they click in place too) The price could be justified if....(I'm a noob, but....) this is a lot of money, that's a lot of pressure, that shot count seems a bit low & could be flatter, the accuracy seems Just ok. & the reviews at PA are not stellar.

Looks like a great alternative to the FX Impact. Good amount of adjustment with less areas that are going to leak. The only item I do not like is the cocking lever. I am use to powder burners bolt action. With that said a side lever is easy and natural shooting motion. This will take getting use to. Decent shot count as well even on 4 and 5. Not spectacular but this is a compact unit.
