I was going through some random photos, and figured I'd post them before they get deleted:
[This was back towards the end of summer 2K18]

99.Pi % of the time I shoot targets, but on this occasion, my folks needed some help ridding their feeders and garden
of a few furry woodland creatures, and, my brother in law needed help adding meat to his future squirrel pot pies..
Problem solved - Kill two squirrels with one stone. Or something like that. 😜

Setup: ATI Nova Vista Freedom .22 cal rifle, CVLife 2.5-10x40 el' cheapo scope, & JSB 18,13 grain pellets

Both squirrels were taken from about 30 yards +/-
The eye-shot was done with the squirrel and I both stationary, and my rifle braced against the porch railing.
The neck-shot was done with the squirrel running full speed, and me tracking/shooting standing & off-hand.

Two different shots - Two different [instant] kills.
I was stoked with both, and my folks and bro in law had to agree..
My only regret - Not getting called over for supper when they were eaten. 😃

Raden1942,

I like the Freedom a Lot! Growing up with multi pumps and going into PCP,
I figured it'd be cool to have something that offered both. Also, having an 'endless air supply' is a huge plus!
Hiccup wise, the only issues I've had were 1 - getting a magazine stuck, and 2 - double feeding some pellets..
The mag issue was probably partially or 100% due to having a pellet 1/2 inside still and 1/2 in the breech.
A bit of a fuss, but, I got it back in action, and haven't had a single issue since.
Just be careful not to double-feed pellets, as there isn't an anti double feed feature on them.

They're extremely light and accurate, the cocking/charging is super smooth, and so is the trigger..
I adjusted the trigger pull down [to the equivalent of my two match grade Ruger 10/22s]
and I couldn't be happier. They shoulder great, the pump handle can act as a 'hamster' for bracing/holding the fore-grip,
and the pump handle can also be locked in place, and used as a carry handle.
The magazines are also identical to the Benjamin Marauder, so spares are cheap and work great.

Would I get one knowing what I do now / Would I recommend them? Absolutely.

=)

PS: I started shooting indoors, and on the high setting, it had just a bit too much bark..
The barrel is 11mm OD, so I installed a TKO22 Stage-V Mod on it [and it's mostly hidden by the OEM shroud]

If we're lucky, there may be a 1/2"-20 UNF adapter in the works for these too..
I'll try to keep everyone updated on that as soon as I know more. 👍

Thanks for the info on the gun. Im getting one soon then. Also i always had to lead the squirrel more on my Benjamin sheridan pistol. I shot heavy 22 pellets at like 400 fps or something like that. I always aimed eye level above the tip of the nose and now that i have my pcps I have to aim more like a powder burner. Its taking awhile to get used to.

Raden1942,

You're very welcome, and good deal! If/when you do, I hope to hear that you really have a blast with it!
Comparing your pistol and aim-points vs PCPs / powder burners.. I know exactly what you mean, and agreed!
It really is noticeably different, and takes a bit of getting used to..
All I shoot now are PCPs and the two custom Ruger 10/22s, so luckily, not much difference anymore.

Hey, I have a pretty bad a** surprise, and you [and the guys here] get to hear it first..

I've been chatting with Donny from DonnyFL about doing some 1/2"-20 UNF adapters for these shrouds..
*The Freedom and the Liberty should be the same, so, pretty soon, we'll all have the option to get them,
and add his moderators to the ends! I'm beyond stoked!
We've had it in the works for a while, and he just let me know that they'll be available sooner than I expected..
Very Cool.
I'll keep you all posted and let you know when they become available on his website. Unless he beats me to it. haha

*Thumbs Up*

Jheikkila,

Yeah, I'm really stoked about it too. I can't wait to be able to use his suppressors on my Freedom.
I currently have the RONIN, and I'm awaiting delivery of the EMPEROR V3. [They're absolutely amazing]
The Freedom isn't loud to begin with and the TKO mod currently on mine quiets it down a bit anyways..
With the Ronin or Emperor on it, it'll probably be silent.. haha

Using the Ronin on my Gladius was day/night difference, same with the Puncher Breaker..

And speaking of.. Just a heads up..

If you or anyone else ends up grabbing a moderator, go with the next size caliber up from what you're using..

So if you have a .177, order one for a .22. If you have a .22, order one for a .25

1, it prevents any possibility of pellet clipping, and, it also gives you more caliber options in the future..

I have the .25 cal versions mod for my .22's. Now I have a .25, and I can use them on that one too.

*Thumbs Up*
