Be warned!! Odoyle is still scamming people out of money.

I listed a scope on AGN on April 8 and he texted me asking to buy. He asked me to bundle another scope and sold for $160 total.

He claimed he would send me a money order ASAP. If you know Odoyle, this is not uncommon. I did not think anything of it because I had sold him a scope before and had no problems.

This time I never received the money order. Even though he asked that I follow-up with him to confirm the scopes were delivered. He confirmed they were and I have the post office confirmation as well.

Still no money order to date.... I have followed-up multiple multiple multiple multiple times and every time it's another excuse. He told me USPS was delayed... multiple times... even though I confirmed there was no delay and it does not take this long for REGULAR mail to be delivered. He then claimed he talked to the Post Master general because he suspects someone is stealing his mail....

Then he claimed he would send me a new money order with pic and tracking... then SURPRISE.. he forgot to go to the post office..

NOW... he is claiming he never received the scopes even though I have his text message confirmations that he received them and Post Office receipts they were delivered.

ODOYLE IS A SCAMMER!!! Deal with him at your own risk..

I'll be posting this to GTA as well.... Spread the word.

PS -- I never knew about his old past on the Yellow. I wish someone would have said someone as I would have never dealt with him had I known he scammed people out of thousands of dollars before.

I'm posting this here now so nobody else makes the same mistake again...

If anyone wants to see proof, I have all the text message and receipts.. literally.

PPS -- for those on the forum, you should know that when I followed up with him to ask why he was late, he uses your names to vouch for himself. JAMESD -- he is particularly fond of using you to back up his bogus claims and proof of his good character. Just thought you should know.

Wow, had no idea either. He's a popular one on here. I'll leave room for errors just incase, but thanks!

I was ripped off one time on a gun purchase using a M.O. as payment, which the seller of the gun would only accept. After he received payment he decided he didn't want to send the gun. I told him that I was turning over my revenge to the Lord as he instructs us to do, as he said he is much better at...He laughed at my words and we hung up. I didn't say anything about it to my friends on the forums or bash his name on the forums as I also know that's all the revenge I would get then, as he also says. About two months later I get a call from this fella. He called to tell me that I wasn't playing around and that when he was able, he would send the money as a refund. He had lost his job, his house, his wife and was living in his truck that was to be repossessed, and that he just had enough minutes on his phone to call me and tell me this. I felt sorry for him at that point as he had a nice job he was clearly proud of and talked a lot about during many conversations about the gun shipment. He did send me half of the money later on. I guess that's all he could muster up. During that time I also received free valves and mods for my other guns from very kind people that had no clue about this, and I got an unbelievable deal on another gun just like the one I was suppose to get from him. All total was twice as much as I had lost. Never underestimate the power of our Lord people. Don't mean to go religious on anyone. Just telling what happened. Think what you will. You do have freewill to do so.

Thanks, Leon. But, I don't think a public apology is warranted at all. I delivered on my promise, as I always do. He confirmed with me via text that he received the scopes on the 13th and the Post Office confirmed it was delivered.

At this point, he's gone from giving me the run around and telling me the "check is lost in the mail," to telling me he never received the scopes. I don't know about you or anyone else, but I feel like that's clear evidence of his intent to defraud. If you don't, you're free to continue dealing with him. But for me, that's a huge red flag.....

I am sorry this happened to you I do wish though that we could hear the other side of the story as well. Not to play Devil's advocate but I have personally received many times notification from UPS and USPS that my item was delivered only not to find anything in my front door. A couple of times I have received boxes that were slushed and the contents missing ( nothing to expensive thankfully). Anyway, it appears that you had to learn a lesson the hard way. I avoid dealing with money orders and if a buyer absolutely insists on dealing with one I make it very clear that nothing will get shipped out until I have received and cashed the check. Vast majority of my buying and selling though is done through PayPal
