Wanna hear something funny???

So I was showing off my new FX Wildcat .25 cal PCP to my neighbor, when he asked..."Would this break the skin if you shot someone with it?" WTF? Are you kidding me, was my response. This is a guy with a fair amount of weapons knowledge, clearly none with air rifles though! Is this the knowledge level of the average person? Do they think these things are just fancy Red Rider BB guns? He definitely gave me a good laugh!

"RickM"It's best they keep thinking that way. It wont be long before they get regulated the same way firearms are,
=( A lot of people think the second Amendment is about "firearms". It isn't about "firearms". It is about the "right to keep and bear arms.", any kind of arms. God only knows if the courts will ever figure that out but when it was written one of the patriarchs was seriously suggesting we arm our military with long bows... so... arms means any kind of arms which we might be able to use to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government, or a crazy neighbor, or a rabid squirrel. ;)

Eggs Ackley ! You got that SO right.

My neighbor came over about a year ago, and asked a very similar question in regards to how powerful my Benjamin was. I told him come back in about 20 minutes and we would have a shooting range set up for him. Long story short, after shooting the "targets" I told him to shoot the "milk" jug filled with water. Unknown to him there were 3 jugs sitting right behind one another with about 1 inch between them, all filled with water. He shot it and I said lets go see. We get down to the jugs about 30 yards away and the .25 jsb is stuck in the back side of the 3rd jug. He was then truly impressed with what an "air gun" could do. (so am I.)
