Totally finished the set-up of my .22 Walther Varmint Hunter today. It is an amazing out-of-the box rifle to shoot, and I have several other springers to compare it to, including three professionally tuned rifles. After all of my testing over the last several weeks, oddly enough, it prefers the JSB Hades for accuracy. I sorted 40+ pellets out of a tin to a range of 15.84 to 15.94 grains (they are advertised to be 15.89) to shoot a few groups compared to straight-out-of-the tin groups. As you will see, at 20 yards, hardly any difference. At 50 and 75, a considerable difference. The 75 yard group with the sorted pellets was simply amazing for a spring gun. I have included all of the data below for your enjoyment, including POI tables, energy, and velocity readings. The scope reticle image is for a Vortek Diamondback 6-24-50 FFP. Enjoy!
