Waiting on ammo delivery.... Survey.

It's understood that there is a Supply Chain issue causing delays in delivery. I'm just wondering where I stand in the mix.

Ordered 13 tins of JSB's on 10/12 and would like to hear from other members regarding their delivery experience, or rather lack there of.

My order was placed with Airgun Depot. There have been several long holding times on the phone for Customer Service to pick up and answer.

My question is:

If you have a similar type delivery delay circumstance, please reply with your order date, quantity, and include your supplier's name if you want.

From your replies, I can gauge where I stand in the "hurry up and wait line" .

Thanks,

This is exactly why I love .22 guns so much.

Go to a Walmart and grab a few tins of CPHP and I'm good to go, even in a delay or shortage. I can shoot rats, leaves, squirrels up to 70 yrds and maybe try to solve the eternal mystery of random CPHP flyers.

I have noticed that the .22 domes 14.3 HP are available at my local WM, but neither the CPUM .177 boxed or LUM77 tinned 10.5 .177 are available from WM locally. And online only the LUM77 from WM, but believe it or not, their pricing is higher than Pyramydair with the buy 3 get one free. The only 10.5 .177 pellets they offer locally are the Piranhas which I have not had much luck with for accuracy, but I now have quite a few of them... (sigh)

Never had much luck with the .177 Crosman 7.9 HP for accuracy at any fps.

As I said before, lately I have had better accuracy from the tinned (LUM77) than the older stock of boxed CPUM that I have. The older stock has LOTS of defects, especially lead artifacts in and around the skirts and deformities of the heads and skirts. These are about 3 years old and die M.

I have to order them online (LUM77 tinned or CPUM boxed). But they are still cheaper than just about anything else I could buy and, so far, they work well for my needs. However, if and when they are available I would like to try some of the 10.34 varieties from other brands. Problem is they are always OOS and more expensive. If I was shooting longer ranges I might be more concerned.(grin)

On 11/17 I noticed ZAN Projectiles, in Slovenia, was now selling JSBs. Hit on yellow ZAN flag scrolling at forum page top to visit site. Placed order for 5 tins, 350 count, of Exact King (.25) in 25.39grain at $13.64 a tin and 4 tins, 150 count (.30) JSB Exact 44.75 grain at $11.29 a tin. Paid $36.88 in shipping, DHL Express, to Tampa. On 11/22, the package arrived, more securely wrapped then I'd ever seen. Placed another order of 5 more tins of each, on 11/22, they arrived today. Grand total for both orders, shipping included, was $314.43 for 4,850 pellets, that's .064 cents a pellet. On 11/17, I had no ammo for my 3 PCPs, on 11/24, I'm drowning JSBs, no pellet shortage here.

I would not preprder something like ammo, actually i would not like to preorder anything.

So ! I have bookmarked about a handful of relevant stores near me ( EU ) that i visit daily to see if they have anything worth buying, even do this now where i have no immediate need of ammo.

But i did just get another 4 boxes of NSA slugs in when i saw those was back in stock, even if i have not used the first 4 boxes i got months ago, and i am looking to pick up more JSB KO slugs in .177 too

I could also have ordered 3 - 4 X as many, but that i feel would be selfish, 4 tins / boxes at a time i feel are okay.

They say pictures speak louder than words, so this is what I've received in November from two Zan Projectiles orders. Price paid, $314.43, for 19 tins (4850 pellets.)
