I'm also consider this gun. From you post I'm guessing out of the box the noise is louder than you would like and that a moderator is needed to make it backyard friendly. The accuracy seem great, well within what I am looking for. However I also want super backyard friendly and as short and light as possible. I'm sure with a Donny Emperor that noise would be almost non-existent, but than the gun would be much longer and muzzle heavy too. Also can you describe how loud the hammer and valve noise is given that the cheek weld is next to the mechanism? I have read one post from an Edgun owner where the hammer noise was too much. I wonder how does the Vulcan 2 compare, or maybe it is a non-issue.

The hammer isn't really loud, just a bit high pitched. 4th Gen onward has a sleeve to help with the ringing the spring used to give.

On the 0.22 4th Gen vulcan bullpup I have the gun is completely backyard friendly with a huggett belita. Bit of a pop with just the shroud which may irritate neighbors after a while, but certainly not 'when will the police arrive' loud at all. Absolutely no need for something emperor sized, even on the 0.25 I'd think.

That said I imagine an emperor would work pretty well apart from making the gun full length 😆

Between my shooting mate and myself we have owned every calibre and version of the AGT, sometimes even multiple of the same!

They are solid, we had one test Vulcan gen 4 in .25, it only shot .5 inch at 50 and 2 inches at 100, we returned this gun unhappy as there was obviously something wrong.

Turns out there was a batch of bad shrouds long ago, Evgeny, the owner of AGT, sorted that out without so much as a word.

Created a customer for life, I didn’t even buy the gun and the man who made it stood by it!

I like guns almost all guns, my favourite looking air gun is my pic star Impact, my favourite shooting air gun is my .25 Uragan.

I am going to disagree that the guns need no work, they need very little work. Out of the box, JB and then some 3m pink blue and lime, maybe fiddle with the trigger. After 20000+ shots, one or two orings in the reg.

If you don’t shoot like a madman the gun will last a lifetime without replacing a thing....

Well its brother in .25 another tactic im getting 1.3" consistently with redesigned at 100m...only mentioned not a hijack:) , becasue my rifle was kindly supplied by....toomany...thanks

Personally my agt guns, a ,25 tactic2. ,22 uragan,,,and Vulcan 2 ,177 have been shoting fools out of the box... A little trigger for my taste and cleaning....is all I did 

Ps im shooting edgun relabeled pellets with a visual sort only...they were a deal.

Looking forward to your .177 slug experiments;-)

I should have added that I shoot in a tunnel, with radar and cameras and a solid table with bags and tripods etc, so near ideal as can be... I am by no means a competition shooter so I try and factor out the environment when I test, I do not disagree that .5 inch at 50m is bad, it's just that the gun can one hole all day long at that range when the conditions are perfect and I don't shake too much!

I like minute of pigeon outdoors but indoors I like to pretend I am a professional and strive for sub moa at any given range, most of the AGTs I have played with are capable of doing this.

 Whenever I find an air rifle out the box that can shoot hole in hole at 50 yards, I just put it in my safe as a keeper.. My Vulcan 2 tactic .25 has been in there for about a year... I just recently came across 2 original version Taipan Veterans in .22 and .25 longs , and the .22 has entered the safe as soon as I received it . Now I’m just waiting to run through a few different pellets to see if the .25 will make it to the safe. ...
