Vulcan Air rifles

I currently own several brands of air rifles. I have more than one model in some of these brands. Since you ask about Vulcans, I assume you are interested in "bullpups" or semi-bullpups.
Of the all the rifles I currently own -- bullpups being my preference -- I would currently consider my Taipan Veteran .25 caliber Long as my "go-to" gun.
I know, just 2 weeks ago, I ranked my FX Impact X as my number one. However, 2 weeks and multiple issues have changed things a bit.
I rank my 'Pups as follows:
#1 Taipan Veteran
#2 FX Impact
#2a FX Wildcat
#3 Vulcan2 Tactic (semi-'pup)
* Factors considered: Accuracy, consistency, reliability, ergonomics, power, adjustability, aesthetics, length, weight...
The Vulcan are very nice PCPs. Mine are accurate, powerful and reliable.
However, if I could only own one PCP, that one would be the Taipan Veteran -- a veritable workhorse.

Thanks. I have been Looking for a new PCP rifle to take hunting. There are a couple models from FX that I like. But then I stumbled upon Vulcan. I like the Taipan full-size and compact and the Uragan I’ve just never seen these air guns before.

I think that you will be pleased with any of those you are considering. And you will most likely own all of them at some point.

I have a Daystate Wolverine II in .30, A Vulcan II in .30 and a FX Wildcat in .25. All are extremely accurate. The Vulcan II regulator is far superior to the FX. No creep with the Vulcan, the FX I have has been to FXUSA twice in less than a year for regulator issues. FX repair warranty is great but FX does not have the regulator for their guns figured out.

Nicel that taipan with the shogun sound like the gun is broken you almost can't hear it but you hear the 34g smack hard..have the same gun with the shogun..and the .22 long...if I only could have 2 those will be my taipans...if only they make them in 30 cal..at least I know they make the long in .177 but I havehav found a way to import one..

Vulcan PCPs are very good. I’ve heard critiques about small diameter bolts and plastics parts, fact is, they are very well designed, accurate and efficient airguns.
Avoid getting ham-fisted and needlessly over-torquing bolts. Other than that, you can be rough and tumble. I like ‘em.

Here's what I like about my Vulcan...
I have a few Taipans and shoot them the most. I am addicted to their sweet goodness.
Anyway,
My Gen4 Vulcan .25 will sit in the safe for weeks or even months.
Pulled it out this morning and here are the 1st 5 shots.
76 yards. Front and rear bag. No wind.
I even had to switch out the mag for the 5th shot because there were only 4 pellets left in the gun.

5000+ rounds through this gun and still shoots like it did when new.

its very easy and fast done. you can unsrew the 2 sideplates to inspect the trigger and probe mechanisms and give it a good clean without further disessambling.
4 screws to remove the barrel and 2 more to remove the air tank. (if you need to adjust the regulator for example)

Does any one make a shroud or cover to cover up the barrel portion that is exposed on the Tipans ? I know it’s cosmetic, but the Vulcan and Edgun look so much better with that portion of the barrel covered.
