So i got my new rifle today, and wasted no time sending a few pellets across my living room to see how it perform speed wise, and i found it to be a little on the light side shooting Beasts at just 730 FPS, so i adjusted the hammer spring in ( 4 full revolutions as 5 and the gun will not cock ) but that only got me to 770 FPS with the beasts.
So clearly i have to set a lot of air free tomorrow ( it is a bummer you have to degas everything, so hoping for some adapter to go in between bottle and gun with a valve in it, so you at least only have to set free the air in the not small plenum part of the gun )
I would very much like if this rifle became able to share bottles with my Maverick, even if i dont have a need for being able to go backpacking and toss a few tanks in the backpack.
Also bit of a bummer you cant see the regulated pressure, but then again once set to a sweet spot there would be little need to change that.
Also taking off barrel shroud to clean the barrel, one of the O-rings on the moderator part had broken, it was cut in 2 with a piece of 10 mm length as the small part. I put the thing back together without and i am not too worried my lead will nick something as it pass by, but i will keep this in mind.
Provided documentation are pretty bad, and nothing better to be accessed on the AGT web page, there are a few exploded views that are fine, but the parts relating to those the numbers only go to 60, and there are much higher numbers, also no info on how to adjust hammer spring so i had to release my inner "do the engineers work guy" to figure that out.... no big deal, that inner guy is razor sharp.
I will tweak a little on the chrono tomorrow , slab on some glass( done ), and then Saturday weather seem to be as good as you can ask for this time of the year, so i will go test on 50 M then.
I also added 2 new flavors to the pellet collection, AA Field Heavy and Rifle Thunder, + a couple of tins of the JSB Heavy as i was down to just 1 of those.
And i am going to the "postoffice" tomorrow to pick up 6 tins of the 13.43grain KO slugs. almost making those the ammo i have the most off if you only count tins and not actual numbers.
