its the older model Vulcan plastic trigger don't bother me its great trigger at 11 ounces and zero creep thanks Matt really quiet without the silencer but like it really stealthy for follow up shots. got 2 sitting on the fence today one fell the other just sat their like its not nap time yet what a joy Ha

vnt figured out what silencer to use yet both are very quiet but the fat boy has a better sound to it. Tatsu still one of my favorites as big Jim is letting me see which one I like better

Is the trigger on that Vulcan still made of plastic?

I have a gen 3 vulcan and I can confirm that the trigger is plastic. Not sure if it is on the Vulcan 2s though. To be fair in some applications where metal is often used plastic may be a great replacement if not better due to its natural lubrication properties. Some plastics are even stronger then cast metals. Unless high heat is involved plastic could be the way to go. They even make some rather large bearings out of Delrin plastic. Would I prefer metal? Yepper. I did not even know that my Vulcan trigger was plastic until I read about on this forum. Took a look and sure enough it was. Looks to be made of Delrin which is some strong stuff.
