Vulcan 2 pup - slug capable out of the box?

this is a side post to my wildcat -vulcan 2 comparison. slugs caught some folks attention so i will put a post here to hash it out.

Have a vulcan 2 pup 25 cal. it's pushing a 33.9g JSB an average of 775 FPS or about 44 FPE. this is out of the box. so i tried VK slugs as well as NSA. these were

VK 32.8g , VK 33G , VK 34g , VK 31.5g as well as NSA 34.7g the 31.5g were horrid , the 33g were best at 1"CTC at 40 yards , the NSA 34.7g were second at 1.3" CTC at 40 yds.

the remaining slug weights were 1.75-2" CTC at 40 yds. after shooting slugs the barrel was fouled so as to make shooting pellets impossible. once barrel was cleaned pellets were good again.

the Vulcan 2 .25 is more than capable of shooting slugs out of the box , you will need to turn up the hammer spring adjustment or regulator to make the slugs shoot faster..at 775 fps with JSB 33.9 grain pellet.. the slugs are probably shooting below 750 fps which is pretty slow for slugs..

Mine shoots at 855 fps with 33 grain slugs.. and I get sub moa groups at 100 yards...

I do not have it powered any higher because I like to keep the sound report at a minimum.., but it is capable of more power..

D-Rig told me that for every grain of weight you go up you lose about 10 fps..

I have found that slugs shoot slower than pellets in the same weight because of the design of the slug ..
