has anyone here had to use the warrany exchange for vortex optics? how did they deal with it? what if the model you had is no longer made?

ya. ive talked to a dealer. sounds painless. i have a ranger 1000 rangefinder. looks like they now make a ranger 1800. i think it retails for the same price though. hoping they swap it out.

It is a no questions asked warranty. They do not cover theft, loss or cosmetic. If they do not make make your model any longer you will get a deal you can not say no too.

Late to the party. I used their VIP warranty with no questions. They replaced a diamondback that they said I crushed the tubes over tightening the scope mounts.

I have Vortex scopes, binos and red dots. I’ve sent three in for damage done in the field and at a gun range. They fixed all no questions asked. They provided this service in a timely manner I might add.

HOPE SO! I got 2 Vortex scopes with glass defects. One looks like a termite wing inside and another a fish scale. Yup that's exactly what they LOOK like. Never had any problems with Vortex scopes needing to be sent in before. I'd rather not have to disassemble them to have the lenses cleaned and recoated if they can just be warrantied.

I heard that they have started to get greedy and cut corners on the internals, etc. so the warranty will be more important than other brands if your scope is not an old Vortex

Sometimes the lube on the gears will dry out. I had one once where it looked like a fly inside. Don't mess with them at all, just send them in. They will clean them up, and they will get a health check at the same time.

Vortex is now the largest private employer in the state of Wisconsin. They have no reason to ruin a great thing. Fifteen years ago they were calling around begging for orders, they have not forgotten those days at all!
