Vortex strike eagle or?

I'm a proud new owner of a leshiy currently looking for a scope for it.

The scope i have in mind that I actually got to look through is a vortex strike eagle 1-6x24 for 299$,its seemed clear and focused really close with a nice eye relief but I'm wondering what else thats similar i should be looking at also.Ill only be paper punching at the 25 to 40 yards maybe occasionally 50 but not very often.

Ooh,im not looking for a big high magnification scope just something a bit smaller to fit the leshiy.I have a big high mag on my .25 flex.👍

Price range 300$ or less.😀👍

Thanks for ideas

Hey pal. I like that scope but not really for Leshiy. I actually don’t think it focuses well close with the 100 us fixed parallax.

Scroll down near the bottom of the thread below. He puts together a good list of compact scopes. Then there is another list from the same guy in the next thread. These should give you some good examples. Mine was more than $300 on my Leshiy, so I’m not much help that low for my specific suggestions.

I have one LPVO that I tried on my Leshiy and didn't care for it due to the fixed 100 yard or meter parallax.

The scope is a Konus AS34. I looked into adjusting the parallax myself but something about the design of that scope makes it more risky. Konus said they wouldn't do it.

It might be worth an email to Vortex or the vendor and see if they can adjust the parallax for you. Or see if anyone has done it themselves on that line of Vortex scopes.

If I were taking my Leshiy out for 40 yard paper punching I'd go with my Burris Timberline 4.5-14. It's in your budget range, assuming they still make it, but is otherwise a very different scope than what you're looking for.

Yeah,I wasn't even thinking about the whole parallax thing.

Thanks for bringing that up.👍

I might just look for a fixed power in 10x up to 16x with side focus parallax.

I haven't used one but the SWFA 10x42 could be an interesting Leshiy scope. If you can wait for a sale or find a used one it should be around your price range. I can't remember the exact models but get the one with side parallax.

My only hesitation is the objective diameter and getting a comfortable scope height. At that length and at that eye relief the objective is obviously going to be in play with the shroud and that will limit how low you can go.

dodge3500,

▪the c. 40 scopes in the following list all focus down to 10 yards.

▪Most have side parallax.

▪And are short and/or light.

▪And have a holdoff reticle.

▪And are under $500, mostly $200-300.

➔ Side-by-side comparison of all these and more features.

🤔 Anything else you want in a scope? It's probably on that list, too.... 😊
