Just curious if any of you AGN members have mounted a Vortex Diamondback 6-24 FFP on a springer yet, and if so, has it passed the durability test? Any other observations?

I had a Vortex Diamondback 2x7-32 on my Hatsan Md 95 in .22 cal. Well over 500 pellets with that setup. I had no issues.

Yes, I had a 6-24x50 on a mildly tuned HW97 and no problems for a couple of thousand shots. I switched it out for a Athlon Midas. The warranty seems pretty bullet proof.

Just for your peace of mind, I heard a rumor awhile back about the diamondbacks being able to withstand a spring or gas ram piston air rifle, so rather than go by internet rumors, I called Vortex and asked them to be sure. The rep said the Diamondback is springer rated, and will fall under warranty should anything happen.
So I won a bid on eBay and put one in my Benjamin 22 cal nitro piston. That’s been 3 years ago now, and still ticking along.

Thanks for all of the replies. I also communicated with Vortex factory reps after making the original post here and they have assured me that the Diamondback will take the recoil of my Walter LGU. I used to use Vortex scopes exclusively but they didn’t offer a competitively priced mil-for scope so I switched to all Hawke scopes, and have been exclusively Hawke now for more than a decade.

Late to the party, but I have 2 diamondbacks. One on a sig asp20 in .177 one on a Diana 48 in .22. Together I have WELL over 6500 pellets with those scopes and zero issues at all. The one on the Diana I had to shim. Holds zero, nicely built, clear glass, and great warranty.

No problem at all. I have two Vortex scopes and one has been on a Diana 34 for a few thousand cycles now and ZERO issues!
