Vintage Crosman Model 99

I recently acquired this Co2 .22 caliber lever action on the eBay auctions. The seal kit being the least of it's needs came in from bakerairguns.com today. Sent Monday, so that was quick. Although, they are only a couple hour's ride west of me. PA a couple hours the other way over in Solon. And Mid Ohio Hydrographics that did the dip on the Remington not too far back my way in Mansfield. I also have a parts source lined up, so I'll have to delve into the 99 first before getting into part two of the 760-C Pumpmaster resto (the 1/89 one). These 99 repeaters, built from 1965 to 1970, like the Hahn Super Repeater BB rifle, built 1958 to 1971, are said to be strong shooters. We will definitely find out how strong when all is said & done. I've gotten the 760's up to 536FPS so far. I think I posted the video of the initial unboxing of this one?

Anyway, here it is after a nice Rem-Oil bath and brisk rubdown;

And the Baker custom seal kit I just got in today;

Personally, I think it looks like a cross between the 1871 Winchester, and the 1952 Marlin 39A.

Have you used this yet? I'm completely new to Airguns but was recently given a model 99. In researching them, I came across your post. I did see a scope mount is available for the model 99. The brochure says it's a MASTER MOUNT and SUPERSCOPE and the model 499 fits 99 Rifle.

Do you have any advice on a new user getting the model 99 operational?

Okay. I'm sorry I haven't been back in so long, but I spent 5 weeks from Christmas eve day in hospital and physical rehab. Then home nurses visiting until tomorrow. Got wrapped up in a Hatsan 135 QE .30 repair and mod. I did do some Youtube videos on my unionrdr's channel of the 99 rebuild. bakerairguns.com has the seal kits, but parts are a real PITA to find these days. Mine looks to be an early 1966. And take pictures along the way taking it apart. Makes reassembly way easier. Clean and hand polish the internal parts and lube the moving ones with some Moly Lube. It's a .22cal with rifled barrel & a 10-shot magazine on top of the receiver. And here's some links for the videos;
