videos about the Huben K1

I'm probably repeating what's already known here, but since I didn't check...I've enclosed a few links to Gregor's You Tube page where he discusses the K1. From initial testing to full disassembly, to barrel replacement for improved accuracy there are several videos he's produced.I hope you find them useful.

You'll see other K1 videos he's produced if you view his page.

I believe MrodAir is the US distributer. I have done a lot of research on this rifle (read and watch about everything I could find) and although I have not had one in my hands, it appears that there is still some refinement needed to be done. There is a very long topic here on AGN that goes over some extensive pellet testing and some barrel issues. This rifle in my opinion is for someone not afraid to take the rifle apart and willing to make future modifications. I believe this rifle could be a game-changer with the hammerles valve , but it will need imput from guys willing to test and modify it to eventually make it an everyday rifle.
Hopefullly there can be guys that have shot the rifle that can leave their hands-on experience and opinion.

I'm familiar with that long post about the K1 (WBryce?). I think Gregor's testing with a different barrel addresses the K1's issue with accuracy, if not providing the accuracy results I'd hoped for (though there was a wind moving the pellets about, heavy as they were). Maybe the gun needs a barrel with an higher twist ratio that even the 16:1 in the LW test barrel? I do agree that more changes are needed for this gun. Regardless of the power, caliber or technology in a gun, accuracy is at the top of the list of must-haves, imo.

I think the K1 is a hunter's gun. I mean like taking something larger than a squirrel. For squirrels and small pests, I have one bull pup, one PCP rifle, and two PCP pistols. The .177 pistol is easily Hell on Sparrows at 25 yards. I am primarily a plinker, so none of my guns is more that 25 fpe (the Bull pup; the rifle is 13+ fpe). The idea of an accurate semi-auto that delivers (had a Hummingbird before the big fix) is still fascinating to entertain. FX has the Revolution, but I'm not too interested in it. The Hummingbird was perfect, except it didn't work so well (I went through two before securing a refund).

Hi!

I see that a lot of people are worried about the pressure gauge and the location of it. Personally I am not worried about it, the hole in the breach for the gauge is about 1 mm thick, this means that in an extremely unlikely event that the gauge would blow off, the force behind it is only about 1,6 kg or 16 N at 200 bar / 3000 PSI. Keep in mind that force of the pressure is always proportional to the surface that if affects (hence PSI - pounds per SQUARE INCH). Do not get me wrong, high pressures are extremely dangerous and I for one am as careful as I can be when I am dealing with it but this gauge does not represent any bigger danger than any other bullpup design PCP airgun.
