VIDEO - me shooting my new FX .22 Royale for accuracy.

I wanted to shoot my new Royale 400 today, so I set up the camcorder and made a video.

I wish the wind would have laid down - it was windy the whole time I was shooting.

I shot througn six 12-rounds mags (72 shots) - 18.13 gr JSB's - without airing up the Royale, and I didn't start at 220 bar, either - I was so wanting to get at it, I forgot check for air, I just grabbed the Royale and went at it..

Any way, the groups all looked good, despite the wind.

I'm going to replicate this test again, someday, when there's no wind, plus I'm going to use a more solid bench rest.

As usual, it took longer to edit the video (to make it short in duration), than it did to do the shooting.

Oh, and at the end of the video, I'll show how easy it is to use my new regulator (in-line between my 4500 psi carbon fiber 66 cu.ft. and the air rifle). I've only recently purchased the regulator and wished I'd done it years ago - but I didn't even know this thing existed, or how it was used, until watched a Joe Brancato video about it - I bought mine from Joe.

Anyway, here's the video I made.

Hope you enjoy the video.

"Widget23"You're shooting at a target with auto traffic in the background? Really?
Yep, do it all the time - I'm that good! Besides, the traffic is on a big hill beyond the target and there's a tree as well that blocks the traffic and as you can see, As you should be able to see, I'm shooting well down into the ground - the traffic is in no danger from my pellets.

Thanks for you concern, but I got it covered. Don't loose any sleep over it, I don't.

"Dirte"

I use a regulator and tether whenever possible also. Nice groups considering the wind you have.
Thanks, that's a nice setup you have there. I've never tethered my air rifle, though I know how. Are you shooting a Royale, too.

I haven't had my regulator very long, but it sure beats the heck out of airing up my air rifles straight from the air tank.

Do you know the rules of gun safety, especially the one about knowing your target and what's beyond your target?
A simple ricochet can go in any direction, go through a window and hit someone.
Safety first.

Widget23, yep, I do, Lordy, I'm 67 years old and have been shooting about all my life. Of course, if I saw a squirrel up in one of my bushes/trees, in line with cars going by, I certainly WOULD NOT take a shot at it - that would not be safe.. But I'm shooting down into the ground, with a hill and trees/bushes behind the target - the pellets don't ricochet. I can also hear a car approaching and hold my shot until it passes, just to be on the safe side. I'll been shooting the way I do in my yard for for at least 37 years (when I moved in), I know, and have NEVER had an accident, so I'm not changing, now.

If you don't agree with my shooting practice, that's fine by me You shoot your way, and I'll shoot mine.

I don't plan to respond again, not getting anywhere. I know how you feel and you know how I feel

All the best
Bobby

Nice shootn bltefft looks like your enjoying yourself, beautiful gun-BUT !! The first thing I thought was He's not going to shoot it there is he-and camera angles can be deceiving the truth we cant see on the video But!! .Those are cars with people in them!,its not methodology- its the direction your shooting. I'd shoot into my garage from the target area- or stuff a-couple bags of rubber mulch in a 13gal trash can and put a sheet of plywood behind that- and even then, its still wrong,Dirte you are blessed !

"ashes5"Not to mention shooting across a public highway right in front of his house. I am sure he could here a kid riding his bicycle in front of his house just as he squeezes the trigger. Big no no in utah to shoot across a road.
Get your eyes checked - I'm not shooting across any kind of highway. What, you can't see that bog old hill behind my target/

Don't be lying, trying to start something.
