If you are using a Mac than I movie is a good option. If not then sorry I don't know of any other free options. 

On iPhone, try Splice. It's free and I've used it many times to put together my videos.

On Mac, iMovie is the free option and it's decent.

On Windows, I use Davinci Resolve 15. It's free and very powerful. Otherwise, you're stuck with Window Movie Maker, which is very limited in abilities.

Davinci Resolve 15 is also available for OSX and Linux. The free version is more powerful than most people need!
