Vibra-Tite Thread Locker for Springers

Thought I'd pass this on. I was having problems with my groups at long range with my Air Arms TX200 HC .22 because the front stock screws keep coming loose. After doing a whole lot of research I ordered a tube of Vibra-Tite Thread Locker and put it on all 4 stock to barrel screws. WOW! It tightened the groups right down to a single nickle sized hole at 55 Yards. And that's with Crosman Domed Pellets for $8.00 a tin of 500! The tread locker was easy to use. You put it on and let it cure for half an hour before reinstalling them. They say advertise you can remove the screws and reinstall again up to 5 times without reapplying the Vibra-Tite. SO if you are having problems with your springer give it a try. It worked for me. Many gunsmiths use the same trick on firearms to tighten up groups.

Vibra-Tite VC-3 Threadlocker. I got it on Ebay.com. Just search for "Vibra-TITE 213 VC-3 Threadmate Threadlocker, -65 to 165 Degree F, 5mL Tube, Red" It cost me $6.29 plus free shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vibra-TITE-213-VC-3-Threadmate-Threadlocker-65-to-165-Degree-F-5mL-Tube-Red/162171245138?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 The supplier was www.wallacebrookarchery.com This 5 ml tube should last me for decades but I bet it sets in the package before then. I bought a new Smith & Wesson Victory .22 pistol a couple of years back. It came with this Vibra-Tite on the Barrel Screw to keep it from coming loose as a warranty part because the original Victory Pistols had the problem of that screw vibrating out or coming loose. The Vibra-Tite fixed that warranty issue on that model. That .22 pistol shoots LIGHTS OUT! Hard to miss.

Vibra-Tite is indeed some great stuff. I used to use LocTite and Permatex exclusively, but after I watched Project Farm's video on threadlockers on the Tube, I decided to give it a try. The Vibra-Tite really does hold so much better than the others in my personal use. That's not to say that the others are junk, they all have a purpose. but if you want maximum hold, VT is a great product.

I am in no way affiliated with Vibra-Tite lol 😉
