I would expect that great scope to perform that way. I'm more impressed with a Savage being that accurate for a off-the-shelf non high-end gun. Of course to get that kind of performance the ammunition scope gun and the shooter all have to do their part as well.
Man, Joe, just watching that video makes me want to put away my pcp’s And dust off the reloading equipment, and bust out the powder burners! I’ve got a Savage 110 BA in 338 LM that I bought new in 2012, and still haven’t fired!!! Still has the factory oils on it!
That scope and rings did a great job, I'm not a fan of those one piece rings like that, I like my rings as far apart as possible, you might of noticed in the video when he took the scope off the ring marks were right next to the turrets on each side.
I have several Savage centerfire rifles from .204 to 25-06. All are very accurate with no work having been needed for any of them to perform. My opinion is that it is the floating bolt head design that makes Savage rifles excellent out-of-the-box shooters in general. I haven't had that level of consistent performance in any other brand I've owned and Savage long ago became a first choice for me for that reason. The affordable price is just an advantage, not a performance benchmark.
Didn’t we have this discussion before about L.O.W. In japan and how Bushnell used to be made by them and I was very disappointed that My FORGE was not? LIGHT OPTICS WORKS makes some off the best optics optically and mechanically period! I was being sarcastic in my earlier response
