**Updated Utah Airguns...Resolved!!**

**Updated**

Bought a .22 Uragan from them. Fast shipping good packaging. Gun was very accurate but had a reg problem dropping as much as 40-60fps over 12-24 shots in a declining string. My groupings at 55yds, 12 separate 6 shot groups showed a consistent poi drop from beginning to end starting top left working to the right and my last grouping the bottom right.

I contacted for a RMA showing the shot string. Apparently there top tech thought this looked normal and an SD of 11 was normal on a regulated gun.

I was given a RMA and told they would run it over there labradar and thoroughly test it and send me all there results.

Got a call saying there was nothing wrong with it and shoots lights out. Was told only two options: pay shipping back or a refund minus 15% for restocking. I took the refund as I wasn't given any results from there testing and just said it shoots lights out. How convenient for them. They will never see another penny from me again.

I will give it to them that they were quick through the whole process and have already issued the refund. But they'll never get my business again regardless.

Austin, one of the owners of UA, got back today to the shop and had seen this post. He took the gun and did more testing with it and did discover there was an issue with the gun. He personally called me and wanted me to know that he was sorry for how it was handled and not making any excuses. He said his techs will now test the guns more thoroughly to be sure. He also refunded the 15% back already. So I can now say that it has been resolved and that they made it right. I will be a repeat customer! Just want to say thanks again Austin!!

Wow that says something about their technician that thinks a standard shot to shot deviance of 11fps is normal. Makes me wonder what kind of guns he is shooting? Bullpoop customer service like this will be noted on future purchases. 15% restocking fee on that gun would almost be $200 they stole from you. Yea that would put a sour taste in my mouth as well....thanks for posting this Dillon.

It’s been noted that the Uragan reg has issues in a large number of rifles sold. From minor reg creep to pretty bad reg creep and performance. This isn’t the same reg that is so Awesome on the Vulcan2, since it must be much smaller to fit in the breech block. @zx10wall Derrick had this issue with his .30 and also a .22 that he tuned. I’m pretty sure he resurfaced the reg. valve seat and set the reg for a lower pressure on both.
As far as an SD or ES, anyone that has worked on Airguns for more than a couple of weeks knows that an ES of 20 is borderline, and worse than that is unacceptable. Most older Vulcans and Vulcan2 have an ES of under 10 FPS, my .30 Vulcan2 had an ES of 4 across a 20 shot string.. Hopefully UA will respond to your post...

Aloha,

I wonder if that’s what another member Douger was running into with his Uragan. I think he got it from AOA though. I have an Uragan from Charlie Georgia Airguns and have not had any issues with it, shoots awesome. Maybe I got lucky and have a great gun.
BTW DB sorry to hear your BS you had to go through with UAG.

Aloha, Keone

I too had a bad experience if you remember not that far back . I just simply said no Thank you and went else where. I was hoping they would learn as they go and get better as time passed. If you do not put the customers first it will get you in the long run for sure. I have found the service I had hoped for in others and am glad it happened in a way. I have never been happier with a vendor and would not have found them if I had not had this bump or hiccup to push me in another direction. Multiple and I mean alot lol of purchases and thousands of dollars later I am all smiles and broke I got wonderful service elsewhere and no problems so far haha. But I still say No Thanks .

Sorry this happened to you 😒 . I know how it feels. It did get much better for me. Heck as many airguns as you have owned I would have given you some complimentary freebies and a sincere apology just to keep you as a loyal customer haha. You have spent alot of hard earned coin on this wonderful hobby . Later and thanks for the honest report.

Yeah I was pissed about it the other day as some may have seen in my thread asking about the shot strings looking normal. I mean really? 42fps spread in 12 shots with a SD of 11.49 is normal?? Maybe there too used to shooting FX with the FX regs that that's "normal". I wanted to be like what would your guy's say if they were to shoot that gun in a competition with a string like that? Idk it is what it is and sucks for me. Again I think why they didn't send results like they said before was likely because the Chrony string wasn't good. I could be wrong but over 5 different strings that I recorded I didn't have a single good one and highly doubt there results could have been perfect.

If you didn't like the rifle in general I can see taking the 15% hit, but if you liked the rifle, not including the poor ES, why didn't you send it off to a good smith to get it tuned since that charge would end up being the same or cheaper? Just wondering.

What rifle are you going to get instead?

I'm glad you went into such detail, named the Co so we will know to avoid them, and sorry you had such a poor experience!

I liked the rifle alot but to pay money for shipping a rifle back that had an issue that they did nothing to fix was out of the question. If they thought that rifle was perfect then I wanted nothing to do with them.

I have an EVOL .22 on order for 10 months and a Raptor Mini .22 on order for 5 months. Both should be in my hands soon so decided that I didn't need another gun and that my Edgun Leshiy which I have been thoroughly enjoying for awhile now can suffice until my others arrive.

DB, If you don't mind, I am saddened by your experience. I had very high hopes for UA, hoping it would steal a lot of thunder from AOA.

You and others are interested in the Raptors, and I thought I would post a group. here.

It is from a barrel I Installed, as it came with pellet barrels in .22 and .25. As you know, I don't' shoot pellets.

JSAR is sourcing the .22 TJ;s slug barrels as I type this. this barrel is a CF wrapped PB liner in .222 from Brownell's Gun Smithing Supply, and it fit perfectly. It is 72 fpe here with the NOE cast mold of a .2213 I think, Can;t remember much now days. LOL

Bottom hole is from me twisting a screw driver bit in the paper for an aiming point this is 60 yards, 5 shots, 4 one horizontal hole, and left top, one hole. Measurement is .393" ctc. Wind was 12-13 left to right.. It didn't seem to care!

Yesterday, I shot in mist, but no wind. 12 at 50 yards under 1/4" @ .211" one hole about .35 ca.. No pic. Not bringing out the camera in the rain. LOL.

The barre is longer at 20 inches, and I had a spare shroud tube which allowed me to install a 500 cc CF bottle I already had here. Man, I love this AG. Unreal!!! :<)

Hey Jimmy,

I updated my first post but he gave me the rest of the refund. Maybe later on id love to try one again but for now just gonna be happy and wait for my other guns.

Cool, thanks for the update. Nice to hear they refunded the restocking funds.

Looking forward to your results with the two new guns!
