Using lee molds for slugs

Once you have slug your barrel.to have the correct sizing dies.n have the correct weight for your application..they should work fine .. I have one. 225 battor n one in 308 .. the rest of my molds are iron or brass..

Are you talking about sizing .257 down to .250? I think you will need two steps to do this. One die to bring it down to .253 or .254 and another to size it down to .250 or whatever you are looking for.


I have a Lee 257-420 and it is a nice mold… Since it is a drive band type design it would be easy to size down I think since you’re resizing just a small surface area.It’s crossed my mind a few times but I have no need to do it so I haven’t tried.

Never had a Lee mold that cast slugs that were accurate except for the REAL mold in 457
