Has anyone tried using a MagnetoSpeed Sporter to test pellet velocity? I'm considering buying one but I'd like to know if anyone has tried it with pellets.

I can tell you they don’t work. My dad has one so I tried it. Then found the info stating they don’t work with air rifles. So I went and bought this. It’s simple to use. Does all I need it to do.

I know you didn't ask about it, but the MagnetoSpeed V3 does work. I've used it for indoor testing and found sensitivity setting 7 works for .30 cal pellets.

Same same. My V3 works with .25 & .22, need to up the sensitivity on the bayo. But I couldn’t get a reading on .17 cal, reason behind buying the FX radar unit.
