Outstanding! I watched the women’s 10 meter and young Chinese woman won a gold medal there. Good to see the home team show up in this one.

That's wonderful!! That may help spur some more interest in shooting sports in the USA !! Especially Air Rifle!! Hopefully some of the young people, as almost all of the school teams are having a hard time finding team members with all of the bad rap the news media and education system gives guns of any kind!! Sad!! Really Sad!!!

Can someone explain the scoring to me? I don't understand the 10.8, etc. and how it's even determined.

A simplified and pruned down version/explanation of electronic scoring:
A manually scored target has 10 visible rings. An electronically scored target further divides each ring by nine more imaginary rings ie you cannot see them. The inner edge of the pellet (towards the center of the target) determines which one of those additional nine rings it is breaking, and this gives you a decimal point. Once the inner edge of the pellet goes past the center ring ie the dot, it continues to break more imaginary rings until it is centered, at which point that is a 10.9.
