Uragan (updates as I learn the gun)

you have a lot of leeway with just the hammer spring before touching the reg. just know that if you go too high or too low with just the HST your FPS spead and/or shot count will suffer.

Mines a .25 so not a direct comparison but I was able to get the 34g JSB up close to 900fps and maintain a decent spread but it did take some fine tuning/adjustment of the HST. I do not know how to test the factory reg

Yesterday at the range, was able to go up to 950fps, test begin from 890 and my first br target was 245, very happy, then go to 75m, but was too windy and big spread in the target, then go to 920fps, much better, but the wind was a factor that not allow to get the picture, next week go to 50m range that's with very little wind and will test more, also have to work in the trigger, very harsh.

so thats 950 with the 18.1's. I was hoping to get a .22 and get it shooting the redesigned monsters around 910. Might not be that far off with some reg adjustment.

Not much you can do with the trigger except lighten the sear engagement.. More HST = more pressure on the sear so less engagement of the sear makes a big difference. Just keep it well on the safe side....

I have just pulled the trigger on a standard Uragan in .22 caliber. Will be arriving shortly.

I would like to thank the guys here for all the technical info in this thread, it will prove to be very valuable when I start to tune my new toy. My biggest reason to purchase the gun is the accuracy, I will report back in detail when I have test fired the gun.

I don't think they are - for one thing the transfer port of the barrel on my 0.22 standard is much smaller than the corresponding port in the action so opening it up will likely yield good results.

That's said I've quite easily got my uragan shooting 25gr jsb at over 950 with the huma set at around 140bar without any other mods. It was balanced with the hammer at that pressure at around 930 or so and was very accurate but pretty loud and overkill for my needs.

I've seen a video of some Arabic guys getting 950fps with 25gr comfortably using the stock reg, also with no further mods and shooting accurately past 150m too.

Thanks. I have a .22 coming late this week and a Huma reg. What you describe is exactly what I'm going to be attempting. Porting the barrel would be a last resort.

Cool 👍🏻

I'm sure you get to where you want to without needing to port. Let us know how it goes

Caveats... No chrony time so I have no idea what speeds I'm dealing with. Trigger is way heavier than I have my .25 adjusted to (sear). Both of those will happen tomorrow. The scope I mounted is not one of my favorites, its pretty windy, once sighted in I only shot 75y and its 103 degrees.... I sighted in with 18.1's and went straight to 25.39's with appropriate holdover

I think my 2nd mag with the 25.39s printed a better target at 75y than I've been able to do with the .25 with the 34's in similar wind.

here is the power adjustment knob, you need to remove the stock, loosen the grub screw to the left of the adjustment screw first, then adjust your power to your liking; clockwise increases power, counter clockwise for lower power; once done, tighten up that grub screw.

Thanks for the pic and info. I just picked up a used 22 compact and I want to do some tuning. It has the HUMA reg installed already, so I need to find the happy balance for 15.9 diablos and Hades pellets. This helps because it did not come with the manual, although that doesn't seem to sound super helpful either.

What are hoping accomplish? More power, less power, lighter trigger release....

You can get a good amount of power (FPS, up or down) adjustment from just the hammer spring (the picture in your post). The sear engagement adjustment and reg access is detailed in this post too. Note that my reg 'cover' (where the high pressure hose attaches) is different on one of mine.

I'm looking to tune for power with accuracy. The Huma reg is set to 110 bar. I feel like it has a lot of hammer spring twang right now. With the moderator on it, all I hear is the hammer. It is a compact, so I think if I can get 72 shots or more per fill with decent power and great accuracy, I'll be happy.

What FPS are you pushing 15.9g and the 18g pellets at?
