Uragan King owners feedback ? Info please

My King is back at AOA for them to check out. Was throwing some flyers and they said they might have to bore out the moderator just a bit more (or make sure everything is straight and true - they said they had one other issue like mine but the owner of that gun had dropped it and the shroud/baffles got out of true with the barrel).

I have some hybrid slugs but haven't gotten the chance to shoot them yet. But they sure do make power in factory tune! Mine chrony'd at 934 fps with JSB 44.75 pellets, 935 fps with Daystate Rangemaster 44.75's, and 904 fps with JSB 50.15's.

That sucks, hopefully AOA makes it right quickly! Don't like the idea of anyone drilling out a shroud, guess they know what there doing. I really like those numbers you mentioned!! That good power to me in 30cal ! My local dealer has a .25cal in stock and I prefer to buy from him. Not sure ill wait for 30cal to arrive..I got the itch for one now and its only an hour drive.

Did you figure out how many shots per fill you were getting before shroud issue?

Thanks

With the King? No specific numbers for you, but the phrases boatload, $h1tload, and others come to mind readily.😁

Always seemed like after a shooting session in the back yard, the pressure hadn't dropped as much as expected. And IIRC I wasn't totally filling the gun to 300 bar, more like ~280.

Nothing wrong wit boring a shroud or ldc. How do you think the thru hole got there in the first place? I use a mill with carbide end mills. Never a drill. ;<)

KnifeMaker

I just prefer that didnt need to be the resolution to begin with. These rifles are good money and " should" come ready to rock. There's plenty of guys that can do it,now if Rich From Michigan was doing it I wouldn't hesitate .He has the right machines and know how and finished product will be excellent. Like I said AOA probably has the right knowledge.

Boat load is very good ! I'm kinda torn, got myself a quality daystate compressor so I have air anytime. So why am I looking at a double bottle gun..all hell why start putting reasoning into any of this 🤣🤣 thanks again for the info. Hope you get your King back soon.

Merry Christmas 🎅

BTW the King's shroud and in-built baffles/moderator are very effective. Kind of a funny noise like a big 'swoosh' of air coming out of the rear of the shroud on each shot, but very backyard friendly in my opinion. Sounds like it is much more effective as compared to the factory set-up on the standard Uragan. I'm not even thinking about wanting to put an additional moderator on my King.

But... don't shoot it without the shroud in place if you don't live on 50 acres. I wanted to test fire it in that configuration to see if my baffles were clipping. Boy that was some 'crack' it put out! Only took one shot in my back yard to know I wasn't doing that again, and I don't live in the city.

Got it ! Yeah from what others said the factory shroud is very effective on the King. Im planning on leaving it alone. I follow ya on the shroud test 😉😛.. I tried the magnum .25cal without shroud,whoa..never again. These shroud n mods really do work...

Better get it now. Aren't there going to be a bunch of new fees, cost increases and taxes on air guns starting after the first of the year? (wink-wink)

I really like the .25 cal round in general.

Right, agreed...wink wink. I hear ya loud n clear. .25cal is sweet, I just got too many. 25cal guns. But maybe 1 more won't make a difference 🤔
