Uragan .25 Putting the Smack Down on Ground Squirrels!

I've been itching so badly to get out and shoot my new Uragan .25, and today finally had the chance! I packed the my truck yesterday night for a day of mostly testing to see what ammo it would like the best and then maybe shoot some ground squirrels after the initial testing. I shot all sorts of ammo thru it and just to be clear, the gun is straight stock out the box, didnt even clean the barrel. I arrived at the farm at 7am and quickly set up my shooting table and targets at 50 yards. Grabbed all the ammo I wanted to test and organized myself to keep track of what I was doing. I topped off the gun to 250Bar and started to let lead fly! Instantly I loved the way the gun felt and shot. I zeroed in with the regular JSB 25.39gr and proceeded to shoot seven shot groups at each target. Tested MK2's, Polymags, NSA slugs and some fresh new Varmint Knocker slugs as well. I wanted to see what this gun was capable of right out the box. I know that the gun comes tuned for regular JSBs and it was pushing those at 920fps, not bad.

Dont want to make this post about testing, but wanted to let you know what I was doing first before I had a chance to choose a projectile and hunt with it. By the time I was done testing all the ammo I brought with me it was 10am. The Uragan shot well with regular JSBs, MK2's, and Varmint Knockers 31.5gr and 32.8gr slugs...I decided to shoot the 32.8gr slugs after talking with Dale on the phone for some BC info to put in the ballistics calculator.

It was 10am and the ground squirrel pups are out in full force! I had a big smile from ear to ear as I like the fact that the Uragan has a claimed 110 shot capacity before it falls off the reg...didnt test that but my trigger finger was putting in work! Little ground squirrel pups all over the place! Let me tell you that these Varmint Knocker slugs pack a PUNCH!...and the Uragan was only pushing them at 800fps but very accurately. I can only imagine after I tune the gun to my liking somewhere around 950ish fps the PUNCH will be even more! If you have an Uragan try some out when you get a chance. The sound on impact is just crazy! and that exit wound...well, I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking. Ended my morning with a total of 37 ground squirrels and 2 starlings and 1 house sparrow.

Until then, thanks for reading, here are some pics I took as I was doing my testing and then the hunting....most shots were 50-60 yards, best shot 90 yards today...stay tunned for more from this Uragan as I plan to stretch its legs way more!

Hi watching this thread with great interest ! Could you please let me know the centre to centre distance of the front and rear slots on the picatinney.

Also would very much like to know the max and min speed available by just adjusting the Hst looks like it will be a decent canditate to enter into the interesting world of shooting slugs !

Thankyou in advance
